LOEN SPEAKS

With the recent surfacing of a photo showing IU and Eunhyuk together that was accidentally revealed through IU’s Twitter, fans and netizens alike had been awaiting an official statement from the artists’ respective agencies.

It seems Loen Entertainment is the first to break their silence as they have just released an official statement on the issue:

Hello. This is Loen Entertainment.

This is an official statement regarding the picture that was revealed early this morning through IU’s Twitter.

First, we bow our heads and sincerely apologize for causing concern to all the representatives and all the fans of IU and Super Junior.

The revealed photo was from this summer when IU was very sick and Eunhyuk had come to visit her at her home, and was taken then when they sat on the sofa together; it was revealed to the outside due to IU’s mistake through her related photo uploading service while IU was making a mention on Twitter.

IU is sincerely sorry for bringing harm to her sunbae Eunhyuk due to her error.

Lastly, IU and Eunhyuk are close sunbae-hoobae who have been close since IU’s debut, Eunhyuk is close to the point that he has even dined with IU’s mother. We ask that you do not exaggerate or make assumptions about IU and Eunhyuk’s relationship due to this incident.

We will return to greet you as a more matured agency after having learned from this incident. We apologize once again.

We are sorry.

Loen Entertainment

I get why this happened, it just irritates me when people become really delusional and think they own someone. Like why do they think they have a right to dictate or care about someone else's personal life? It's this part of KPop that's always completely baffled me. I mean, I stan a lot of people, but I couldn't give two cents if they were fucking. Hell, I would be pretty happy to know they are cuz that's, you know, normal. The attitude of most of these fans just annoys me. It's like this big disconnect between reality and their own fictions.

*sigh* I feel really bad for IU. Hopefully this won't affect her career too much.

IA, and I don't think KPop can truly be popular in the rest of the world if fans truly believe that a bunch of teenagers/young adults are going to be celibate their entire careers just because the fans can't take the fact that their oppa/unnie isn't going to date them.

except young people knew that IU wasn't as innocent and that her and Eunhyuk were together for quite some time. IU's fans are mostly uncle fans and they're the ones who are like "omg nooooo" but no one save for like two fans have taken any drastic measures.

this ISN'T going to be as bad as people think it will cause IU is an adult, most people already knew it was going on to begin with, and they knew she was a ~sly fox~ all along.

uncle fans aren't that bad okay, my experience as AKB48's fan teach me that.
there are some crazy one yes but majority of them aren't.
'the uncle fans' are the ones who keep supporting the girls despite their scandals.
the ones who are burning their CDs are their antis.

It's this really twisted mentally of "If I can't have you, no one will", which is really wrong. I mean, if your really love your bias/stan/idol/whatever, then you would want them to be genuinely happy and not miserable and alone. I dunno, maybe I'm just abnormal, but every time I see my oppas with a girl I'm like "yeah~get it~". >_>;

I don't know how accurate this translation was but this was on AKP a few days ago about something she was asked on GO SHOW

When asked if she’d ever publicly date, she said, “I’m going to hide it for as long as possible. Fans told me to make sure I don’t get caught, that I could do whatever I want but they asked me not to hurt them. Fans always tell me to hide it.“

So they know, they'd just not rather see/know. I think they'll be forgiving of her.

similar to what he said a long time ago:
"We are stars so we can't ignore our fans. Not announcing it doesn't mean you just live for your fans, it's for myself and to protect the person I love. I think is better to keep it unannounced"

I think most idols think this way, and sane fans know about this.

phft, i see stans for hollywood actors act the same way though. i don't remember the name of the actor, but that guy who played loki in thor? shit was off the cray cray charts when people found out he might be dating someone on ontd and tumblr. i have plenty of other examples. i think we just hear about the crazies more than the rational people because they're fucking LOUD.

Tom Hiddleston.
I swear, all of Tumblr is like a shrine to him. His fangirls also freaked out when he shortened his bio on twitter. They're fucking crazy.

I don't mind them dating.... But since I'm personally against pre-marital sex I would rather them not do that. But I know sexual morality is going down the drain everywhere in the world esp the entertainment industry. So I'd rather them do it with their bf/gfs than forced to with higher ups in management etc
