Psy set yet another record for himself.

Psy beat Lee Hi for the #1 spot on the November 16th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Music Bank‘ winning for the 10th week in a row.

Psy previously set a new record for the most number of most wins on the show with 13 wins including this week. However, his consecutive win streak had been broken by KARA‘s “Pandora” after the 3rd week. Undeterred, the song kept winning #1 after that, building up more and more consecutive wins. The win today marked his 10th consecutive one on Music Bank, which was good enough to beat out the record previously set by Girls’ Generation‘s “Gee” with 9 consecutive wins.

This record is even more surprising because he never performed “Gangnam Style” on ‘Music Bank’.

Music Bank should just put a cap on wins. Psy is going to continue winning through the end of the year on broadcast points alone and it's a little ridiculous since Gangnam Style isn't top of the charts anymore.

Nope. He's winning on just broadcast points, so whenever Gangnam Style is played or he performs it on TV, he gets points for it.

it's so boring. i'm happy for him that he's successful but the fun point of awards on music shows is the artists doing cute things on the stage and being happy when they receive them.

I wonder how KBS feels about this lol. I bet they really didn't expect something like Gangnam Style to pop up when they fucked with Big Bang and YG so much last year.

i think YG and KBS are on slightly better terms than in the past though. it's just Music Bank that YG still wants nothing to do with. Music Bank will have to do a lot more to get them back on the show.

Man, you really realize how short the attn. span of kpop fans are when people are already demanding new music out of him... In western music you might not get a new single for 5-8 months or so, srsly.

Even thought the YG stan in me enjoys seeing KBS mad, they really should have a cap on wins like the other shows. 5 or 6 is more than enough, 10 is just robbing other artists of a shot.

SNSD winning 9 times was cute tho, I never expected anyone to break that streak tbh. Also ecstatic that all this shit is going down on Music Bank - it'll teach those fuckers to think twice before trying to pull stupid shit with YG :P

Still, I hope this'll teach MB to put a cap on wins, because I want to see other artists being happy with a win, and having fun encore stages :3
