YG Entertainment making bank, expect more GD songs about being rich

YG Entertainment currently brought in more than 15 billion KRW (approximately 13.8 million USD) so far this year.

The amount includes the profits brought in by artists active in 2012 such as  Se7en, Big Bang, G-Dragon, PSY, and 2NE1, but because it has currently only counted up to September of this year, additional profits from Psy, Epik High and Lee Hi will be added on later. With the new earnings counted later for the fourth quarter, the total is expected to jump even more. The 15 billion KRW estimate is about a 17% increase from last year’s 12.8 billion KRW (approximately 11.8 million USD) revealed during the same quarter.

Experts are expecting a large profit from Psy, who recently has won or will win awards at the MTV EMA and AMA, as well as from Epik High and the ‘monster rookie’ Lee Hi, who is continuing to dominate music charts.

This doesn't even include the alive tour. $420,000 for the sold out 1400 person VIP section alone.

I really wonder what kind of deal YG has with Livenation as their profit from Big Bang's tour will depend on it.

Also I wonder if YG stock will drop with this news item as 70% increase in SM's profit was too little for analysts.

I think SME problem, was that they hyped themselves up a lot last year, SNSD international ventures, being on US shows, etc etc. but then disappear this year in terms of presence. While YGE didn't really hype it, they really have Psy that is making wave in international water, BB tour. I think, for analysts, they were kind of unexpected of YGE to strike gold this year, with Psy. Last year, or earlier this year, they were afraid of YGE in the open market because of how little acts they have. For YGE, when they see the profits, it'll go back up.

Also, I read that SME didn't give out a warning for analysts that their expectations were too high. Thus created a dominoes effect. Something that all big corp should do? Even Apple gives out warnings regarding their profits with analysts' high expectations.

I'm pleased for the company as a whole but I'm still unhappy about how 2NE1 has been shafted this entire year.
Even if 2NE1 didn't comeback as a whole I would have loved some CL/Minzy solo promos :(

Girl. Last year when YG updated their artists' photos there was a shot of just CL and Minzy and I got my hopes up they were going to release an album like GD&TOP. :(

I was wondering this for some time now ~ but does anyone know what happened to that ~ *supposedly finished track* ~ G-dragon did with Ludacris?
There were news about it months before GD's comeback and it was never mentioned again.
