And Talk Talk > Boomerang. I'm glad it got put on the album.
no but seriously, i love that it has all these different sections that end up blending together really nicely toward the end of the song. it's messy and fun and different for soshi and i am here for it completely <3
My favs: Baby Maybe, Promise, and Romantic St.
I'm not wowed by this album, but it's not as bad as I had expected after hearing IGAB.
i got a boy (in some parts jammable), dancing queen, look at me are bearable. other half is sub-par.
Not the best way to start off the new year, tbh...
bought it on itunes as well despite knowing i'm going to get a physical copy lol
MTE
but girls & peace shits all over it imo
once i heard the medley though i was out
still not sure if express 999 and xyz are faves, but a few more listens and i'm probably going to love them.
i'm surprised that i liked the ballads enough. the only real dud for me may be lost in love. but i thought the instrumental sounded sweet and nice.
this is better than the boys album. i could listen to this album without skipping a song. but as most sme full albums there is a lack of cohesion. the title track doesn't really show what kind of sound the album is going for. but fans are probably going to enjoy the variety in sound and that most songs don't sound like and are not structured the same way as igab. snsd's japanese albums still trump their korean ones.
I had to listen to two or three times, before I felt anything but "oh its nice, I could listen to this on shuffle" about the tracks (except Romantic St. I just don't like that one at all).
Its good enough that I'll buy it though (unlike "The Boys"), but I'll probably wait until repackage.
Still love IGAB
I like that there is a cohesive sound to the album as a whole. Also I can hear some of that Jpop influence in the album.
i'm going to lump myself into that category and agree (esp because i see their japanese releases as "what SM thinks non-ksone want to hear", but i don't follow SM generally so i'm not sure if i can fairly generalize there).
i wish more of these songs had that stuck-in-your-head factor i want from pop music. i actually love IGAB because it makes me want to dance any time one of the motifs gets stuck of my head, including while i was shopping at Target earlier today. Girls & Peace was the first time i was interested or blown away by snsd in quite a few years (incl the first japanese album, which i find only ok) so i had been ready for them to step it up from there...

Usually I'm bored of hell by track 4 or 5. But this one actually held my attention good job silver star.
IGAB still sounds like five different songs mashed together, though. :P
