SM Town London Style [Fashion Post!!]

The UK has so many talented designers who develop incredible clothing that is loved worldwide. In this article I’ll be showing you some of the UK’s top designers’ work, worn by SM artists, including buy links for anyone who wants to get their hands on these awesome pieces of clothing!

Yoona-Lazy-Oaf-bodysuit

1) Recently SM began releasing teaser photos for Girls’ Generation’s latest Music Video for ‘I Got a Boy.’ Seohyun was pictured wearing this really cute cropped T-shirt from Boy London, it looks great, and Seohyun’s teaser picture was definitely one of the best. Annoyingly, this top can only be found on the Korean Boy London website Although, it only costs 69,000 Won, which is around £39, which isn’t so bad.

2) EXO-M’s Lay was also seen wearing a Boy London shirt, underneath his silver Jacket. I think it’s a shame the shirt is hidden because it’s got a really cool design. You can find this shirt on the Boy London website for £40.

3) Going back to the ‘I Got a Boy’ teaser photos, here we have Yoona looking gorgeous wearing a Lazy Oaf ‘Stars and Stripes’ high waisted skirt. SNSD’s stylists seem to be a big fan of Lazy Oaf clothing because SNSD are all wearing so much of it!

The skirt is technically sold out, but I found one for £28 (used) which is amazing value because normally it would cost £40!

4) Next, also wearing Lazy Oaf in SNSD’s Dancing Queen music video, we have Sooyoung in this chic batman shirt. I really love the way the stylists have cropped the shirt to make it sleeveless, and the shirt underneath makes it look very stylish. You can find this top here for £40.

5) Carrying on with the batman theme in SNSD’s ‘I Got a Boy’ music video, in the dance teaser SM released today, you can see Jessica wearing this shirt from Lazy Oaf. SM are really loving this brand for SNSD’s comeback! You used to be able to find the shirt here for £40 but sadly it’s already sold out. (And actually now missing from the website)

6) Taeyeon can also been seen wearing a Lazy Oaf shirt in the Dancing Queen music video, this one is called Patches and can be found here for £38. I think Taeyeon wears it really well considering it’s a shirt made for guys!

7) The next SNSD member to be seen wearing Lazy Oaf clothing in the Dancing Queen music video is Hyoyeon, who can be seen in the ‘I’m in Chains’ bodycon dress. You can find this dress here

8) The last Lazy Oaf piece of clothing I have to show you here is Yoona’s dress that she wears in one of her teaser photos for ‘I Got a Boy.’ It’s the ‘Spaghetti Arms Bodysuit,’ and can currently be bought here for an amazing £27 due to it being in the sale. So if you’re keen to get hold of some clothing worn by Girls’ Generation, this is probably your best shot!

9) SNSD members can also be seen wearing gorgeous clothes from Vivienne Westwood. First we have Jessica, wearing this absolutely stunning (and super sexy) one-piece from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection. I wish I had a buy link, but I don’t think these clothes are
available yet.

10) Following this, we have Sooyoung wearing this really cute ‘Anglomania’ shirt, also Vivienne Westwood. Unfortunately it’s sold out though, so there is no hope of getting one for yourself.

11) Lastly from Vivienne Westwood, Taeyeon wearing this jacket, originally from this trouser/jacket combo. When I first saw this outfit on the catwalk, I honestly couldn’t imagine any way that it would look good (pessimistic me!) but clearly when the jacket is mixed with the right pieces and worn by the right person, it looks really good. I’m still not a fan of the ruffled shoulders though. Again, no buy link with this one because it’s from the 2013 Spring/Summer collection and therefore I don’t think it’s for sale yet.

12) Next, moving onto SHINee, we have Taemin wearing this embroidered vintage denim Alexander McQueen shirt. I think this was a great choice for Taemin, it suits him and the detailed patterns on the shirt look amazing. You can find this shirt here for $244 (which is roughly £151). However, on the website it says that the shirt is unavailable. I don't know if that means the shirt will go on sale again in the future or if it's gone forever.

13) Next in SHINee we have Key wearing these quirky sunglasses from House of Holland. You can find these sunglasses at the House of Holland website for £150. Personally I’m not a huge fan of the sunglasses but Key wears them well, so despite my personal preferences I think they look good in this case!

14) House of Holland is obviously a favourite with SM artists, because in the dance teaser of SNSD’s ‘I Got a Boy,’ Seohyun can be seen wearing the Pre-2013 House of Holland striped jeans. You can find these jeans here for £139.

15) Finally we have, also wearing House of Holland, F(x)’s Sulli. She’s wearing a pastel leopard print silk dress. The dress in my opinion is stunning, I love the colours so much. Sadly the dress is sold out, but you can find similar designs here on the House of Holland website And, for those of you who read last week’s special style edition (which you can find here) might remember this dress as being similar to the one Lee Hi wore in her music video 1 2 3 4. I prefer the colours of Sulli’s dress, but I think both look really good. I am definitely a fan of this dress. Such a shame it’s sold out.

GREAT POST, OP!!!!!!!!! ^^

i too was pleasantly surprised at how Taeyeon was styled with that jacket, totally hated it on the runway!
fantaesticbaby 3rd-Jan-2013 03:14 pm (UTC)
Thank you :3 <333

Yeah at first I wasn't sure if it was the same jacket because it looked so different on the catwalk model. I'm glad they only put Taeyeon in the jacket though and not the full thing!

i love boy london
where can i get the welcome mother f✭ckers hat tho
johnnyquest89 3rd-Jan-2013 03:13 pm (UTC)
Surprised at how inexpensive most of these clothes were, seeing as it's a current trend to see idols training or having leisure in $100+ shirts n such.
jaerotic 3rd-Jan-2013 03:14 pm (UTC)
i don't have money for these clothes (and standard of living in my home country is too low for me to justify buying these clothes in these prices) but i love looking at posts like these! ty op!

Thanks for sharing, OP c:
To be honest I really like some BOY London stuff but the fact that their eagle almost looks like the Eagle (Reichsadler) used in Nazi Germany/Third Reich is way too...fishy.

I thought the same thing. At first I thought I was just being too sensitive, so I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. :/
hattukissa 3rd-Jan-2013 03:19 pm (UTC)
Loved this post! It's interesting to see the clothes they wear and to see that some of them are actually affordable.. Would love to see more of this!

In love with this post.

Agreed about Taeyeon's jacket. Definitely an upgrade.
hitsujiga 3rd-Jan-2013 03:27 pm (UTC)
thank you key for being such an expensive mofo 8/ but since i can't rock dis fashion anyway~ 8)

i'm always amazed at how sm stylists manage to make some of those pieces actually look good on their artists! some of the runway pics/original style combos aren't really flattering for the fashion imo~
love_keiko 3rd-Jan-2013 03:30 pm (UTC)
mad ass hell i cant afford most of these but it's made me realize that in a fair amount of cases the styling is pretty good. i love how they take runway pieces and dress them up or down.

korean stylists (especially on the red carpet) have this annoying trend of copying the styling direct from the runway (which almost never works) instead of re imagining a look to work for the shape and height of their client.

thanks for the post, OP!
kyuuhyun 3rd-Jan-2013 03:35 pm (UTC)
I like Lazy Oaf :D I like Boy London too but yeah I don't want to be seen wearing that eagle..

great post, thanks
vvipforseungri 3rd-Jan-2013 04:11 pm (UTC)
I think it's funny how SM artists generally tend to look a hell of a lot better styling-wise than YG artists ever do, and yet the prices are actually affordable.

You're doing something wrong, YG, imo.

Thanks for the post, OP!

SM artists wear A LOT of BOY London...I know Jjong wears their stuff frequently. He's also worn some ugly Lazy Oaf stuff, too.

Unfortunately, I like most of these looks on the models better than the artists...SM stylists always fuck everything up :/

My favorite SM styling though, is Jongkey's various designer couple shirts. The first one is Jeremy Scott, right? idk about the other one.

Fyzzed did a "parody" shirt for the first one that I've been eyeing for quite a while, lol
amandaplan 3rd-Jan-2013 05:27 pm (UTC)
I knew kpop artists wore Lazy Oaf but I didn't know it was this much lol. House of Holland seems awesome. I also really love Taemin's shirt.

xredada 3rd-Jan-2013 05:29 pm (UTC)
The title confused me. I thought it was about SM Town London T.T

Coming out of the 2NE1 thread, everything here seems cheap (but I still can't afford it probably).
epikfailure 3rd-Jan-2013 05:43 pm (UTC)
bless this post

love that onepiece sica's wearing!! and aaaa love how you commented on some of the changes to the pieces the stylists did *__*
asnindie 3rd-Jan-2013 05:54 pm (UTC)
I have the batman T. Holy affordable clothes, someone's doing it right.
soramai 3rd-Jan-2013 06:16 pm (UTC)
some of the clothes are so ugly.
khimia 3rd-Jan-2013 06:37 pm (UTC)
I hope that they are not thinking of using this song for their us release because the song and mv are embarrassing
unicornios 3rd-Jan-2013 06:38 pm (UTC)
I just got here from the crazy 2NE1 clothes post in which they wear nothing under $1000 so this is a nice change lol

I generally like Boy London's stuff. I'm kind of in love with Lay's t-shirt. I also really like Taeyeon's Lazy Oaf t-shirt. It's so cute. Gurl is also working the hell out of that Vivienne Westwood jacket.

And I wish I was rich enough to own that Alexander McQueen shirt because I'm hopelessly in love with it.
fabledlamb 4th-Jan-2013 12:30 am (UTC)
Lol, it's like the SM stylists sourced their stuff almost exclusively from ASOS or something.

I used to be kind of on the fence over Boy London until I decided I only like their simple BOY logo hats/caps.

And I couldn't agree more, the McQueen shirt is so absolutely beautiful with the embroidery and in that very light wash <3
lee_chikin 3rd-Jan-2013 07:03 pm (UTC)
Love Sulli's dress despite the leopard print and Taemin's and Sooyoung's shirts. The rest I either detest ot would not care to buy.

Well, well the one occasion where SM paid more for Suju than SNSD, I remember the prices for the Mister Simple teasers clothes being absurd.
