IT'S NOT A PARTY POST I JUST WANTED TO RESURRECT THIS barely used GIF
So we had that mod post the other day and some of you wanted a guide to posting so we've written one up for you. Before I go on, I'd just like to remind everyone that the guidelines for submitting posts are in our profile page. But we're going to take it one step further with an example. This is what usually happens for me when I want to make a post:
6. Finally, this is how you add a source. Put it outside the lj-cut so that whoever you got it from can see that you've given them credit. Common internet courtesy, and there was a mod post awhile back about this. I included an embed in this post so I type the name of the source and ...well, you know how to link right?:
Arthius
HOPE THIS HELPS. if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. come inside, maybe you have a couple of questions that someone has already asked.
thanks for the post :).
anyway, i used to post the articles in my lj first to check if it looks right (especially for the lj-cuts). and then just copy/paste what's in the html version when editing the post. it usually comes out right.
Will definitely be using this post to double check stuff before submiting, thanks! Lol, love the Kubrick reference. I'm always quoting that film to my friends' great chargrin. XD
brb getting lost in this guy's impossibly blue eyes *___*

So how's the deal with tinypic? I tried to make an account but it redirected me to photobucket.
I guess I'll stick with the LJ gallery from now on.
Oh and you should consider adding the link to this post and the sources post to the comm profile.
I searched for something like this some time ago on the profile, but only found the hosting sites page.

I think they were bought by photobucket quite awhile ago and after that you cannot make new account there. And if you post without an account your pic might expire in like six months or so and change to something else. (Didn't know this at the time I joined this community so there are all kinds of weirdness especially in gifs I used to comment posts in 2009.) However, if you have an account like I do pictures uploaded onto your account won't expire and change to something else.

Thanks for the info!
I don't usually worry about submitting things wrong, but I remember once submitting the same article 3+ times because it got rejected for different things and eventually giving up...and it never did get posted. Oh well! XD
