This is sad to a certain extent, but at the end of the day I think that its reductive to tell people who choose surgery that they just need to accept themselves etc etc. This is really just a response from an image obsessed society. Some people can live with what they don't like about themselves, other can't. If you have the money and the will, go ahead and fix what you don't like. I think what turns people off is that plastic surgery is permanent. Its not exactly the same as drawing your eyeliner a certain way to make your eyes prettier or contouring your face to make it sharper etc but the objective is the same. Fixing what you dont like so that youre able to present yourself to society in a way that is more acceptable and allows to be more accepted. I think instead of badgering people for getting surgery, rather in SK or America we should start questioning the values of beauty that are constantly presented in the media because it affects people's self esteem and leads them down this road.
