Congratulations to Super Junior ! Yeah, I bought all versions of Sexy Free & Single -- it's all worth it LOL (SJ bias is always SJ bias) and congratulations to all who charted! Sure thing SM really sold a lot this year...

soramai 24th-Jan-2013 09:53 pm (UTC)
it's nice to see olds albums are still selling.
lysblack 24th-Jan-2013 09:56 pm (UTC)
jype physical sales are always so weak, it’s a joke really, they really need to get their shit together, i am getting so angry as a fan, they need a new ceo and marketing team asap.

but i am surprised that they sold more than sistar
a_perfect_shade 24th-Jan-2013 11:32 pm (UTC)
the only artist from JYP i see in the top 25 is jang wooyoung (which even that is surprising). can they really count as a top 3 company anymore? though i'm not entirely sure which JYP artists were active this past year.
jeugd1 24th-Jan-2013 09:56 pm (UTC)
wow Exo did really well, one of the best debuts ever
hipployta 24th-Jan-2013 10:07 pm (UTC)
OP do you want the GAON digital numbers too?

EXO stunning folks at 7 (K) and 16 (M)....not so much digitally.

YG groups did really well physically and digitally...
cast_no_shadow0 25th-Jan-2013 01:14 am (UTC)
I would love to see the digital numbers! I think digital sales say a lot because I think a strong song does well digitally. Casual or even non- fans will buy songs digitally because they actually like the song. Fans will buy the physical albums whether the songs on it are actually good or not, just to show their support.

I can't wait for B1A4 to break the 100k mark, it seems possible with their next album.
missnothings 24th-Jan-2013 10:29 pm (UTC)
Yeah, they inch closer and closer... they sold 63k+ in a month and a half, whereas Ignition and the repackage had much longer to sell to reach over 50k+. So there's already a dramatic improvement in the sales just between those promotions.

I think they will definitely be able to go over 100K with their next album if it's released earlier in the year. :) In the Wind is still selling really well still as well.
deeinanutshell 24th-Jan-2013 10:27 pm (UTC)
wow this is such a boost from the years before. it used to be that only the top 5 would sell more than 100 000 but now it's like top 15. interesting. special props to PSY and Busker Busker for breaking 100 000.
supplanter 24th-Jan-2013 10:32 pm (UTC)
\o/ b.a.p has all of their releases this year in the top 100 lolololol

I am hoping babyz just went broke in the second half of the year and physical sales will at least go back to the 30k range with the february release. ._.
queenhinata 24th-Jan-2013 10:34 pm (UTC)
proud of shinee and infinite, it's their highest selling albums yet. and happy for 4minute, they were one of the few female acts in the top 30 ;;♥
rosamajalis 24th-Jan-2013 10:35 pm (UTC)
Look at all that idol shit. I'd probably cry a little if my country's top 100 albums chart looked like that.

bob_dabuilda 25th-Jan-2013 04:12 am (UTC)
I thought the same thing. Depressing there's not more diversity on the charts.
askbask 24th-Jan-2013 10:43 pm (UTC)
Someone post the much more relevant yearly singles chart.
asnindie 25th-Jan-2013 12:32 am (UTC)

hisjulliet 24th-Jan-2013 11:13 pm (UTC)
Sherlock is still selling good I see!
a_perfect_shade 24th-Jan-2013 11:26 pm (UTC)
big bang's sales are seriously impressive. out of the top ten they have 2 artists and they made 2/3 of what SM did with 5 artists. and one of their albums was a repackage.
a_perfect_shade 24th-Jan-2013 11:27 pm (UTC)
also idk how much of exo's sales to believe? how much of that is buybacks from SM when exo didn't do as well as they hoped and they didn't want to lose face?
drfaith101 24th-Jan-2013 11:29 pm (UTC)
Aw, get it f(x)!
cagallisakura 24th-Jan-2013 11:30 pm (UTC)

still holding onto my wish of seeing twinkle as nine.

pretty sad how exo sold more than fx :/
itskimbitches 25th-Jan-2013 12:07 am (UTC)
more surprised by jay park out selling them and others tbh
itskimbitches 25th-Jan-2013 12:05 am (UTC)
it finally hit me that it's the same ppl every damn time. is kpop really this small??? i thought it got bigger, or maybe the newbies failed to become relevant...
adorkableninja 25th-Jan-2013 01:20 am (UTC)
Busker Busker: not idols, immediately released a full-length album after their debut, sold more than 100,000 copies.
It's not a wonder that general public in Korea love them and unofficially crown them as the best rookie in 2012
palebluedot09 25th-Jan-2013 01:24 am (UTC)
I'm so proud of B1A4! Each successive release sold more. Plus Baby Goodnight charted on the end of the year singles chart. Compare that to last years sales for both album and digital and you can really see how far they have come
x_tsurara_x 25th-Jan-2013 01:27 am (UTC)
