Seventeen reveals first member Minkyu

Seventeen has revealed its first member Minkyu.

Previously, Pledis Entertainment explained that, “Not all the members from ‘Seventeen TV‘ are confirmed to be final members of Seventeen. They will be going through various training and judging to be chosen as the final members. The group Seventeen is a team that starts with the public. The members will be chosen by monitoring the public’s response.”

Seventeen is a 17-membered group with an average age of 17. Their training process is shown through ‘Seventeen TV’, and they have been gaining much interest from the public.

Minkyu was the first member to be revealed through Seventeen’s Twitter. There has been a lot of positive talk about Minkyu as he looks like he was straight out of a romance comic, and also bore resemblance to actor Kim Bum.

He is legit a baby Kim Bum and it's kinda freaking me out a bit. XD

It took me months to figure out the members in SNSD and Suju. 17? They're just asking for my brain to face combustion

I think it's going to be an EXO-K and EXO-M type of group. Pledis is apparently planning Japan and China sub groups. So I don't know how much they would promote as all 17.

They are set to debut in July I think, but ya I really wish they wouldn't since most of the rumored members are 12-16 and its super saddening

Seems like forever I've been waiting for some kind of confirmation of members lol, I swear they were mean't to debut at the beginning of the year already? Oh well D:

I really like Seventeen TV, everyone seems really nice etc but if the members are chosen through the public reactions then I really hope the 12 year old kid (at least I think he is 12 or something like that?) doesn't get in because although he was good when performing NU'EST's Action with the rest of the trainees, he is way too young to be an idol!

Also Yao MingMing is so cute xD His selcas are just the best omg, I hope he gets in!

Ehh Pledis need to concentrate on AS, Nuest, Dambi and Hello Venus before they should even think of debuting another group.

They just keep on getting younger now too. I was born in 1995 and it's hard for me to imagine idols are gonna start being younger than me now ._.

I don't know why he looks so baby faced and young in that pic but he is 184 cm and taller than anyone else on Seventeen TV rn and he also does this in his spare time so idk (he's the one on the left)

17 is too many and having that many members totally defeats the purpose of letting individuals' talents shine. In one song how many solo parts can be distributed? Not 17... I think Pledis made a bad decision by having this many members. Unless they split up the group into two (EXO's split made perfect sense).

He was born in 97. Stop. If you read the comments above you would have seen that said a couple of times.

And yes, there is a potential member who was born in 2002. Idk wtf Pledis is doing. But it's not Mingyu. lol.
