Valentines day, ah I hate it but secretly love it at the same time.
Last year I was dating this awesome guy and I was all happiness, rainbows and sunshines and he actually broke up with me in the most romantic SHITTY day of the year. His excuse was that he did not know it was V-day. Sigh. I was this close to actually stuff his face with the chocolate I bought and strangle him with the ribbon.

Now I hate V-day and everyone knows it. But secretly I still love it and will probably end up eating ice cream while watching some romantic movie and be all pathetic and sad.

The best valentine years for me were during elementary school when we used to set up mailboxes and everyone would make cards for the whole class. I remember kids specifically making nicer more "expensive" ones for their best friends.
Now these days, I only look forward to Valentines day for the sale on chocolate the following day.

I love the idea of making Valentine's as a class! It's very inclusive of all kids, regardless of whether they're able to afford to buy fancy Valentine's from the store. Such a nice idea!

I've never done much for Valentine's Day, I'm not even sure what my boyfriend and I did last year. Now we are at university and it's harder to just do whatever we want with our busy schedules.
There is a popular sweets delivery service on campus and I decided this year to have a Valentine package be sent to his dorm (literally two blocks away WHATEVS). It's filled with two dozen Butterscotch cookies (his fav, still gross), chocolate covered strawberries, a balloon, and a gallon of milk.
I asked for a message to be added as well:

"I love you, angel breath."

No crushes, but everyone in my class is trying to set me up with one of my classmates, but he's ultra traditional, pretty radical in his beliefs about the government, a vehement conspiracy theorist, and is generally intense....I mean, basically he's me in male form. We both have long ass locs too....ugh, idk....

Lol this sounds cute. Go for it, most people aren't what they appear, if he's some moron then atleast you know.

Recently for instance I went on a date with a cutie I've liked for a few weeks, and half way through the date he started talking about how the Jews ere in leagues with Free Masons to take over the World, and we're all in trouble. The illusion was totally broken.

omg I've been meaning to get one of those panda rings ever since '11 when Ri wore it. I also really want the V necklace, I wonder who sells it...

Anyway, I printed out a bunch of valentine cards and plan to disperse them randomly throughout the school. They're awesome. "Don't Thoreau me away." "Get in my Van and Gogh with me." "Be my Attila the Hun-ey." "Quit being a Socratease". LOL

my sports team has the tradition of guys giving roses to the girls' team on V-day, so I've that to look forward to, whoo.

but i don't even like roses and i'm allergic to pollen, so i'd kind of prefer if they gave us chocolate instead. gonna go for the after-14th chocolate sales though

I've never had a valentine on Valentine's Day but I actually really LOVE this holiday! I know it's cheesy and commercial and fake and everything but... hearts and chocolate and flowers! I just give valentines to my family :P

when i was in high school i started hanging out with these punks even though i wasn't really a punk (i was just a super lonely emo kid). the quiet guy in the group bought me chocolates and a stuffed puppy, it was really really sweet but i was like NO I DON'T LIKE YOU like a bitch. also because he said he was a satanist.
