2014.08.20 14:55 | CJ E&M enewsWorld | Grace Danbi Hong

Setting another brilliant record, Super Junior will hit a total of 100 concerts for its Super Show series in September.

On August 20, Super Junior added one more concert for its upcoming Super Show 6 in Seoul. The concert will be taking place on September 19 to 21 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.

Since 2008, Super Junior has held 97 Super Show concerts, in and outside of Seoul, gathering more than 1,350,000 fans to see the group perform.

With the upcoming concerts in Seoul on September 21, Super Junior will hit its 100th Super Show.

Ticketing for the September concerts began on August 7, with tickets disappearing as quickly as they appeared.

The September 21 concert ticketing will take place on August 21 at 8PM KST on Gmarket.

Poster looks like something straight out of a SPAO ad. I like. :P

I knew there was going to be a Sunday show, thank goodness I didn't succumb to those overly priced tickets for the Saturday show going around.

Oh, okay. When I saw the title I thought it meant they'd have 100 dates of SS6 and was like 'how is that even possible'. Guess that's why Hyuk tweeted '배쾨'.
ETA: the photo's really nice, actually. I like it.

My tlist is going nuts because of a rumour/assumption/conclusion that Henry and Zhou Mi won't be involved in SS6.

And I'm just kind of squinting at everyone because I don't get where it came from.

I wouldn't be surprised if SM did cut down their stage time and I'm mentally preparing myself to not expect much more than a few SJM songs and a special stage ala SS3&4 instead of all the stage time they got at SS5, but taking them out completely would be ridiculous. TBH cutting them out too much will piss off a lot of fans it's just the fans it will bother aren't exactly the fans that raise their complaining voices loud enough for SM to give a semblance of a shit.

Like I think it's because of Henry's tweet to Siwon but I think fans are reaching? I wouldn't be surprised if HenMi's stage time is cut back but since there was no SJM fanmeet/concerts for Swing, and Henry won;t have a solo concert any time soon, Super Show is Henry and Zhou Mi's concert too, they are part of it, it's their place to perform too. If SM yanks them out there's pm nothing else they do. And I think/hope the rest of SJ would argue that decision since SS5 and the inclusion of more HenMi was SJ's call, not SMs. Supposedly.

Idk if they are screwing HenMi over I would want fans that aren't happy about it to let SM know it's shit but not enough will care enough to cause a fuss imo.

I'm now hesitant about trying for that third date though. I'll either get the 19th and skip the 21st or keep the 21st and miss the 19th. I'm skint anyway.

just to add to this

This is being spread starting from a Henry fan twitter, tbh Henry fans raging in these email inboxes got Henry and Zhou Mi on the SMTown posters.

BUT Idk if I believe this 'I called Dreammaker' stuff and apparently Korean fans aren't saying anything about this.

However if you want to join an angry email campaign to sm about their trend of taking HenMi stan's money and then giving us very little HenMi stage time, merchandise, inclusion on stage or in dvds or on tv etc. go nuts. I'm liking the idea of HenMi fans starting to get some bite tbh.

Aaaaaaand Henry tweeted about it.

title or description

"@.henrylau89: The picture came out very well. Perform well at (your) concert".

(Not actually sure who to credit here? No source on the photoset and no trans credit on caption either...)

NKsubs did the trans of his tweet.

people are reaching over this like it means HenMi aren't part of it because the translation but...

idk maybe there is a nuance I don't get because my korean isn't great but i read it like 'the picture came out well. perform well'

idk i feel a little unhappy at the rumour that this tour is gonna be plop for henmi and their fans since i've sorted 2 tickets.
lovealwaysliana 20th-Aug-2014 03:35 pm (UTC)
It's kind of the "your" part I think... whether it's really implied or not I'll have to take the translator's word for it!
sobaek 20th-Aug-2014 03:42 pm (UTC)
tbh tho, I didn't read it like that when i read without the translation

공연 is a performance or concert. noun.
공연하다 is the verb to perform, or like to do a concert/gig
공연 잘 하세요 is perform well. or do a good concert. translation is interpretation and do well at your concert wasn't how I read it but my grasp on korean is only basic. There's no subject in there you, he's not saying YOU perform well at YOUR concert.
In fact someone on my tlist and i were just talking about this and it could have also been translated at 'do well/perform well at (the) concert'. the 'at your/the concert' is added in translation because 공연 suggests the concert bit and it makes it a bit...smoother in english?

The thing is you don't use '하세요' and include yourself. If he was including himself, he would've probably said '할께요' or '하겠읍니다', which would generally be more like 'we will do well!'. This sounds more like '[you] do well!' (second person, like an imperative sentence). There's no explicit subject but then there rarely is in Korean -- and the conjugation of '하세요' doesn't lend itself to including yourself (which is why '조용히하세요' means 'please be quiet').

Yeah but Henry isn't a native soeaker, he might of intended the 'do well/have fun' to be directed at siwon without making it sound like he has no part in the concert.

I jst kinda doubt sm would completely cut henmi out.
stoppedclock321 21st-Aug-2014 01:57 am (UTC)
I said something elsewhere in this thread about how it might've been a language mistake or an oversight on his part, but '하세요' really isn't particularly difficult or unusual or irregular and at this point (7 years in and out of Korea) I would certainly expect Henry to know how to conjugate in that tense, especially since he only learned how to speak formally in the beginning. I hope it's more an oversight on his point (quick tweet that he didn't think much about).
sobaek 21st-Aug-2014 02:52 am (UTC)
It better be an oversight. I want to enjoy the concert without feeling bitter and angry because Zhou Mi either wasnt there or only had 15 minutes on stage

SS5 was great, but i didn't get to see the version with HenMi on stage because London get a reduced show with no HenMi. I don't want the first time I can see the full show in Seoul to be the time they fucked over HenMi and their fans.
lovealwaysliana 20th-Aug-2014 04:34 pm (UTC)
That's true, it's interpretation. plus we all know Henry isn't the greatest at Korean
stoppedclock321 20th-Aug-2014 04:30 pm (UTC)
It's implied (in that there's no explicit subject in his tweet there, but then there rarely is in Korean), but the '하세요' part isn't inclusive. It's just not with a 'we' subject, so the way he's tweeting...sounds like he's not in it.
lovealwaysliana 20th-Aug-2014 04:35 pm (UTC)
stoppedclock321 20th-Aug-2014 04:39 pm (UTC)

IDK if Henry meant to say it like that, but by now he has to have a pretty decent grasp on Korean at least, and it's not like the usage of '하세요' is particularly difficult or unusual. It could still have been an accident or oversight and it's probably reaching to jump to those conclusions off of one tweet (unless that calling stuff did happen). Bleh.
lovealwaysliana 20th-Aug-2014 04:42 pm (UTC)
Or maybe he did do it on purpose to create another fan uproar and get himself and Zhou Mi added to the show like the SM Town posters. His secretly shrewd plan! Or he wants to be like all surprise! when they actually end up in the show. Fingers crossed!
