BTS’s RM Receives Surgery For Deviated Septum

BTS’s RM has recently received surgery.

On February 5, industry representatives reported that RM rgot surgery for a deviated septum.

In response, Big Hit Entertainment commented, “It is true that RM received surgery. He recently got surgery and has now been discharged from the hospital. He will rest and focus on recovery for now.”

A deviated septum is a condition where the nasal septum is shifted off center, which can cause difficulty in breathing through the nose.

Wishing RM a speedy recovery!

I need this surgery too lol I can't breathe out of my left nostril

my right nostril is so deviated it's considered technically obstructed, I never knew until I got a facial x-ray done for something. I need to get mine fixed too.

i remember how back in the day among celebs it was a popular excuse for getting a new nose...
jokes aside i have exactly the same issue, so i feel for him and it was the right choice (but i don't think i will ever go for surgery). hope he has speedy recovery and time to rest before going back to bts activities!

I had deviated septum surgery and honestly, being able to breathe through both nostrils and not getting headaches because of that is amazing, I hope it fixes any problems he was having. I (luckily) needed hardly any recovery time (like I was out at dinner less than 2 days later) so hopefully his recovery goes well!

can you tell me about the headaches? I only have one functioning nostril and it's giving me all sorts of symptoms, one of which I believe is a ton of bad headaches, but my last ENT thought there was no connection between headaches and a septum issue...

He’ll feel so much better once he’s fully recovered. I got mine corrected last year after knowing I needed to for so long, and once all the swelling went down it was like heaven.

He tweeted that the surgery went fine and he's resting! Hope he recovers well.

I need one of these so bad, my snoring has gotten out of hand (the constant inability to breathe out of either nostril, too). I hope this means the others won’t be able to film him obnoxiously catching flies anymore when he falls asleep backstage. I always felt for him, the mouth-wide-open snoring, while hilarious, is so uncomfortable when you wake up.

I hope this means they still have a substantial amount of time off prepared before jumping back into more promotions, if he was able to squeeze in a surgery.

I hope he recovers quickly and without complication!! 🐢 I'm glad he sought out treatment for this, too, my sister put this surgery off for years and suffered for it.

I'm glad it's not anything serious I got a little worried at first. Glad to know he's doing well. Reading the comments though I hope his nose hasn't changed too much...
halfdressedliar 5th-Feb-2018 04:19 pm (UTC)
Speaking from experience, if all he had done was a septum correction then it shouldn’t change his nose at all really. My doctor said they use micro tools to go in simply without having to do anything to the shape of someone’s nose.
