C.N Blue's hot debut showcase

10:15 pm - 01/14/2010

Band C.N Blue had their debut showcase on 14th January at PM in Seoul KangNamGoo SeomYoo Centre.

During the showcase, they also revealed their debut title song ‘Alone’. The group consists of main vocalist cum guitarist Jung YongHwa, Lee JongHyun who is also in charge of vocals and guitar, drummer Kang MinHyuk and Lee JungShin who is in charge of bass and rap.

The group name comes from ‘Code Name Blue’ and they will be showing off their charms through various concepts like ‘Burning’ ‘Lovely’ ‘Untouchable’ and ‘Emotional’.

There's a mistake in the 2nd guy's name. It's Lee Jong Hyun, not Lee Jong Hyung. :)

Jonghyun, why are you so good looking. But yes, they do look tired.
[info]civilized_era 14th-Jan-2010 02:30 pm (UTC)
nevertheless, I feel like they're more charismatic/less stiff-faced (yeah I'm looking at you Yonghwa) live -- impressed me more than their video!
[info]kawaiiysa 14th-Jan-2010 02:28 pm (UTC)
yay! thank you for posting this. :)

Yonghwaaaaaaaaaa <3
[info]love_keiko 14th-Jan-2010 02:33 pm (UTC)
that was REALLY GOOD!!!
[info]gg_reno 14th-Jan-2010 02:33 pm (UTC)
now if they were anything like actual indie rock bands as allkpop "claims" them to be (i.e. the strokes, franz ferdinand, or the pony) then i'd be drooling all over them. but they're not. but i still like them because they are good to look at and the song is catchy. (i'm not annonyed...so thats a good sign). i mean i still think "Let's Go Crazy" from their Japan release is fun to sing out loud. LOL.

does anyone else feel some sublime "santeria" or fastball "the way" fused with the usual maroon 5 "this love" "harder to breathe" tempo and vibe? i can imagine this being played in mall stores in america.
:/

the strokes, franz ferdinand, or the pony

ROFL

[info]kangfany 14th-Jan-2010 02:37 pm (UTC)
More of this in the Kpop scene plz. ♥
[info]marchlavender 14th-Jan-2010 02:42 pm (UTC)
ouch, my ears hurt. really hate to have sharp ears and to be a sound freak. i blame it all to jrock, especially sugizo, akihide, hiroto, rikki n yody for spoiling me too much with their great sounds and skills

but they're decent enough for a new group, still got a long way to go, but they're still young and i have a high hope for them in the long run...
[info]meccamputech 14th-Jan-2010 02:43 pm (UTC)
they're a nice pop rock group i guess
hopefully they can have a market in this industry
[info]czarny 14th-Jan-2010 03:01 pm (UTC)
You mean like FT Island but actually plugging their instruments in and not being composed of bitchy drama queen pretty boys? :O

They'll be on Music Bank tomorrow :D

[info]jtyy239 14th-Jan-2010 02:44 pm (UTC)
NOT ENOUGH JUNGSHIN SCREENTIME. But omg they seem really good. Much better than what I expected before tbh, Yonghwa sounds amazing.

CYANIDE BLUE.

Let's hope they can poison Ze:a and Fuckaz in their tracks yo.

no u
[info]starlique 14th-Jan-2010 02:57 pm (UTC)
I love it that not only one person is singing and getting all the attention, and their music is really unique, to me, anyway.

I can't stand the onslaught of boy/girl bands with all the same concept. CN Blue manseh!
[info]hoyah 14th-Jan-2010 03:04 pm (UTC)
good luck to them, because it's hard to promote even pop rock in this industry.
[info]meccamputech 14th-Jan-2010 03:05 pm (UTC)
also love revolution is probably my favorite song off their ep
[info]theuncolored 14th-Jan-2010 03:06 pm (UTC)
love the performance!
definitely looking out for this band! xD
[info]tokyoduchess 14th-Jan-2010 03:09 pm (UTC)
the song is so jazzy, it's really different from most things in kpop/rock. love them so much already. :)
[info]beauty0fparting 14th-Jan-2010 03:18 pm (UTC)
i love jonghwa's voice omg. and jonghyun looks so hot but please lose the perm. jongshin looks tired. minhyuk aka junki/wooyoung/junsu looks adorb.
[info]ashiva 14th-Jan-2010 03:18 pm (UTC)
Somehow I get a feeling from them that they would enjoy much more of playing some much more harder rock than this jazzy folkish pop rock (plus honestly The Hush Sound owns this genre, so everything else feels just second rate).

Reminds me when Yeosob said that he wanted to do metal things, but somes told him it would make people feel sad.
If a lot of koreans feels like that then.. its not good for market D:

I was right! Jonghyun is the one singing the 2nd half of the first verse
I could distinguish their voices. woohoo~
lol but i thought he did the 2nd rap. oh well

They have gotten a lot better with the instruments.
I remember when I posted their live performance video here during their Japan debut. They didn't play this well back then.
[info]marchlavender 14th-Jan-2010 09:25 pm (UTC)
that's what japan always do to indie bands, they make sure you actually rip your heart out to practice till you're dead... lol... i'm not kidding... i've been over 14 years in jrock & indie scenes, you will get it bad if you can't actually play live decently, what i mean by decently is like half of that alice nine or five skills (i won't mention any kind like janne da arc or b'z, because they're legends), and these boys are not on that half yet, but they're improving. so i have a high hope for this youngsters in the long run. i just hope they won't forget every experience they've gained when they're over there.
