VIXX's interactions with IU and Girls Generation garnering hot response

Rookie idol group VIXX was recently photographed with singer IU.

VIXX's leader N recently said on his Twitter, "IU senpai not only has a beautiful voice, and a beautiful face but a beautiful personality as well. Real V."

In the photo, IU and VIXX's members make the V-sign with their hands while smiling brightly.

In another photo, member RAVI posted a photo while holding his copy of Girls' Generation's Tiffany, Taeyeon and Seohyun's CD, which has attracted attention of many fans. The signed album had a message from the girls saying "VIXX kouhais! Congratulations on your debut!" showing their support.

Fans said, "IU and VIXX together is good!" and "I wish VIXX can become one of the 'nations singers' too!" as well as "VIXX has rescued our country from its previous existence," and various other responses.

VIXX's new single, "SUPER HERO" is currently gaining a lot of popularity.

"VIXX has rescued our country from its previous existence"

hmm i think it's just a term that doesn't translate well into english! it means that they must've done something really heroic in the past life to be so lucky in their current life (probably referring to all the support they're getting)

IU almost looks cute! and that's nice of SNSD to give out autographed copies of their cd to rookies
pivotandsway 30th-May-2012 03:45 am (UTC)
ia that's pretty clever of them
anconeous 30th-May-2012 06:24 am (UTC)
That's basically what happens backstage in music shows apparently. Rookie groups go from room to room to greet sunbaes and give them a copy of their CD. Then sunbaes also give their CD's.

wow. so omona doesn't check if the translations are correct before letting posts like these go through?

Exactly. I wonder if the mods have even noticed.
prismboy 30th-May-2012 03:43 am (UTC)
I don't, but it seems ridiculously impossible for these translations to be 100% accurate.
prismboy 30th-May-2012 03:58 am (UTC)
Not attacking, just making everyone aware. :) I wouldn't like people to be misinformed tbh. Then again this is a nugu group so I guess no one really cares. Oh well.

I love how you just attack me by drawing out things I like and other stuff that I do which are totally unrelated to these posts!
prismboy 30th-May-2012 04:12 am (UTC)
Just wanted to verify if it was an actual true translation or not, it seemed too sketchy to be accurate tbh. Maybe other members who knew Korean could enlighten me, which they did. But I guess you're right, I shouldn't say that about your translation since I don't even know Korean. That was bad from my part.

Again, attacking me with things that are unrelated to the argument! Good job!!

In any case, I'm done! You're a lost case and you'll just keep trolling, so I won't even bother anymore. 8) Have a nice life.

To be fair, you've taken liberty with "word choice" in a previous self-translated arama post- an accusation to which you actually admitted guilt...and you've also cleverly edited and compiled some self-translated articles to throw shade on other artists (I checked your Japanese sources in that instance).

So I think it's fair to warn people they should take your "translations" with a grain of salt.

Ok. Whatever you say. Also, the source clearly says "aim". And I understand taking certain liberties with translating, but when the purpose is to throw shade on other artists or to booster the image of those you favor, I find it irksome.

I have nothing wrong with your translation of Korean idioms as those rarely translate well into English and never fail not to sound awkward.

It's fine though, your shit is out there. People should know and question what they're reading in translation ( no matter who's translating, tbh).
kiminikaeru 30th-May-2012 04:17 pm (UTC)
lol oh god
uledy 30th-May-2012 04:18 pm (UTC)
"oh god" me? I know I'm a bit much at times...
kiminikaeru 30th-May-2012 04:32 pm (UTC)
dw i was talking about this qummydino person
mangomuffins 30th-May-2012 03:49 am (UTC)
the phrase makes sense tho, it just doesn't translate into english well
reii_chan 30th-May-2012 04:08 am (UTC)
It's a way to say that they must have done something important in the past ( like rescue the country) so now they are being recognized and getting attention
pivotandsway 30th-May-2012 03:45 am (UTC)
"VIXX has rescued our country from its previous existence"

this is literally the most accurate comment I've seen from a netizen

prismboy 30th-May-2012 04:02 am (UTC)
With OP's amazing translating skills, I'm guessing so! And they seem to have used senpai too!! VIXX are so innovative using Japanese terms in their Korean~~
deerlike 30th-May-2012 06:46 am (UTC)
Yeah, I was wondering why a kpop group would suddenly use Japanese honorifics.
benihime99 30th-May-2012 08:15 am (UTC)
Yeah, felt weird
same meaning though so it's ok

kuroxkitsunex3 30th-May-2012 04:09 am (UTC)

uledy 30th-May-2012 03:54 pm (UTC)
I honestly don't want to hear you complain about the plight of Kisumai within the JE fandom seeing as how you are the sole instigator of Kisumai hate in arama. In fact, if you look at recent Kisumai posts that were not translated or posted by you, they're virtually wank free and full of positive conversation. This is not a coincidence. The same follows for VIXX and B1A4 posts of late.

If you take liberties, fine, disclose that you did so (some people say "hey, I condensed this" or "hey, I edited ___ part") and don't lie/snap at people when they point out these "liberties" to you- there'd be less wank and people wouldn't feel the need to question the integrity of your translations.

Additionally, I don't care if you find my legitimate points offensive as I find your arama/omona persona offensive at its core.
uledy 30th-May-2012 04:06 pm (UTC)
Please don't make me take screencaps of recent Kisumai posts. You won't like what you see, love. Praying for you illiteracy and nasty disposition.
uledy 30th-May-2012 04:28 pm (UTC)
Haha, true true.
pinky_fairy10 30th-May-2012 02:34 pm (UTC)
I know a lot of people are fussing about them but why can't I seem to like them? Quite weird. Hahaha. Maybe they're not my type? :))

But they gave me lots of laugh when they were in Mydol with MBLAQ especially Leo. He was quite a poker face, or maybe just nervous? :)
minho_lover 30th-May-2012 05:34 pm (UTC)
Lucky bastards~
But I like VIXX, just need to get all their names down.
