miss A Suzy’s Secret for Maintaining Skin? “I Am Young”

Recently, miss A’s Suzy surprised Netizens and television viewers with her “4th dimension response.” (A response that was “out there.”)

She appeared on the May 2 broadcast of KBS 2’s “Entertainment Report” alongside fellow drama “Big” cast members Lee Min Jung and Gong Yoo.

Lee Min Jung, who appears on many different makeup ads and is well-known for her perfect skin, was asked how she takes care of her skin. She answered that laughing is an important way that she maintains her skin.

Suzy was asked the same question and she replied with, “I think it is because I am young.” Gong Yoo and Lee Min Jung began to laugh and they agreed with her.

When asked what Lee Min Jung’s first impression of Suzy was, she answered, “She is like a doll. I am a doll that is a bit old, and she is one that was just produced.”

“Big” will have its first broadcast tonight on June 4. (KST)

I've heard really good things about this one and it's for the type of skin that you describe.

What kind of coverage are you looking for? If you want a light one that'll even out your skintone but isn't too thick I'd recommend Lioele's waterdrops~ !
I use that one and it's very subtle compared to my oriental gold one
jacky_snoopy 5th-Jun-2012 12:17 am (UTC)
You think it'll be able to cover my acne scars tho??
omg when I have money I swear I'm going to buy a whole grip of stuff because of this post >.< lol

I had a problem with visible pores too. Shiseido's "pureness pore minimalizing cooling essence" helped my pores a lot. It's kinda pricy for such a small tube but it was worth it. Washing with cold water also helps shrink the pores.

As for bb creams, my favorites are Skin76 Diamond and Missha M. My skin is fairly white so any red spots I have are extremely noticeable and they do a great job of making my skin tone even.

And I make sure to drink lots of aloe vera juice (or beer.) And kimchi.

gonna have to try those out! and I'm underage so I can't drink beer but I can do the other two! lol
Thank you :)

I have crazy combination skin and my favourite addition to my skincare regimen ever is korres pomegranate tonic lotion as toner. it's super gentle but it helps mattify my face without overdrying and makes it feel like, extra clear and not build-up~py like combination skin can feel sometimes? I was surprised at how quickly I got to like it considering I rarely change my skincare but I ran out recently and freaked out. it's about $20 on ebay if you don't have korres in your country but the bottle lasts about four or five months for me if I use it near daily!

ooh sounds great! definitely need to get try that.
Thanks ^^

I can recommend Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream. I bought it after I heard Key uses it (yeah talk about media pressure XD). But the thing is magic! My sister has zero knowledge about BB creams and when she saw me using it she called it a Photoshop in a tube :D. I got it for £10 from E-bay.

I've always wanted to try Missha's BB cream 'cause a lot of reviews say it's one of, if not the best one out there. I'm just waiting for my Etude House BB cream to run out and I'll probably get myself one. I was so shocked to see a Missha store in a mall near my house!
marisurisa 4th-Jun-2012 08:58 am (UTC)
Oh definitely. Missha is the best of the best :D And I heard that if you go to the physical shop you'll get lots of samples and freebies. You are so lucky, I have to settle with 3 weeks long delivery time... T_T
jacky_snoopy 5th-Jun-2012 12:24 am (UTC)
I was thinking about getting this bb cream but was apprehensive since I've never had bb cream before, but I definitely need to try it now!
thanks a lot ^^

Ok *rolls sleeves* let's get started..
I have acne scars and combination skin and the occasional acne break out.

I use a De Slick setting spray sometimes instead of a primer if my skin is oily that day.
I use Missha BB cream and I mix it with an Armani foundation so that it would suit my skin type.
For my acne scars, I use MAC studio finish concealer, IT. WORKS. WONDERS!!!!!!!!!!
Also a more thicker concealer is Tarte, I usually use Tarte for my dark circles, but if I have a REALLY OBVIOUS scar (My scars are usually really a dark pigment) and it works AMAZINGLY!!

There's a Shiseida primer that is so light and DOES NOT make your skin look oily..it's amazing!!

I know MAC makes thick foundations for people with irritated skin, you can go there and have them match you with the perfect skin tone! and get a sample to try it out!
Tell them your skin type (because they have the foundation in 2 forms, 1 for oily skin and 1 for dry skin)

I hope it helped ^^
If you have any Q's feel free to ask ^^

Omg You're so much help! It totally helped out a lot :DDD Need to try some of these things when I get money lol
thanks! ^^

hmmm milk/dairy could be a factor. Maybe think about cutting it out. Or at least trying for a week or two to test if that's a problem.

I've cut it out recently to see if I was intolerant to milk, my skin cleared up and I felt better overall.

Add more leafy greens to your diet and perhaps try more natural products on your skin. There are a lot of chemicals and sulfates in skin care products that are harsh for the skin. I've started drinking warm lemon water in the mornings. Think about using an oil. I know weird thought especially for combo/oily skin.

Grape Seed oil: I use this mainly on my face. I use it as a cleanser at night if I don't shower. Splash the face with warm water, rub the oil across my face for about a couple of minutes, use a face towel with warm water to wipe it off. After I splash my face with cold water and pat away lightly excess water but leave enough on my face to use rose hip oil as a night moisturizer. The water helps keep the skin hydrated. I also use grape seed as a spot treatment.

Jojoba: I used to use this in the winter as a night moisturizer. It's great for the skin. But now I use it mostly in my hair.

EVOO: I use this as a cleanser in the shower, shaving cream, in my hair, and lotion. I do the same steps I used for grape seed oil only in the shower. It's great for using before stepping out of the shower. It hydrates and softens the skin like most oils.

Rose Hip Oil: I use mainly as a night moisturizer or mix with my daily moisturizer if it's the winter or dry.

When it comes to oil though find what works for you. Some people prefer coconut oil, almond oil, peppermint, or argan oil (haven't tried this but my mom loves it) etc.
I also use enrich from Trader Joe's. It's like $4 and has spf. Keep hydrated, sleep, and exercise. Also give your skin a chance. Sometimes it can take at least two weeks for there to be changes.

Sorry this is a lot lol.

omg no its not a lot! the more the better tbh! xP hmmm never thought about cutting out dairy.. hopefully I can do it tho, I love my cheese! lol xP thanks alot! Your comment totally helped out! :D

I got a massive breakout on my normally perfect skin last year, and I swear this stuff saved my skin.

I also use Neutrogena anti-wrinkle cream at night, not that I have wrinkles, it's just best to prevent them before they start. And I use Alpha Hydrox products to lighten/fade any remaining acne marks.

By day I use Shiseido SPF 60 sunscreen. It's pricey but a bottle will last you at least 4-5 months, and it will keep the oilies at bay like you wouldn't believe. Do use a good makeup remover to get it off at the end of the day though, that shit is extremely resistant to budging.
jacky_snoopy 5th-Jun-2012 12:33 am (UTC)
ooh totally gotta try these!
thanks! :D
bunny_lita 4th-Jun-2012 07:14 pm (UTC)
I say go to the dermatologist about acne and acne scars. I use Epiduo and it keeps me from breaking out. My acne scars are minimal, but they've faded. As for oily skin, I use a primer underneath my make up (It's by Rimmel and it costs like four dollars) and it may sound weird, but moisturize with an oil-free moisturizer. Sometimes the Epiduo dries me out and my skin gets all gross and itchy if I don't, particularly in winter.
jacky_snoopy 5th-Jun-2012 12:29 am (UTC)
ahh ok then
thanks! ^^
falling_empress 5th-Jun-2012 11:09 am (UTC)
er.........if better genetics isn't an option i think you should see a dermatologist. that sounds like too much going on for the internet to solve tbh. ask your doctor; it sounds like you need pills.
