Park Yoo Chun said he dreams of walking the red carpet of Cannes with his brother Park Yoo Hwan in a recent interview with enews.

To a question asking whether he has anything he dreams of doing, he answered, “I want to go to the Cannes Film Festival with [Park] Yoo Hwan. This is my next goal for now.”

The two have already walked red carpets in Korea together for the 2011 MBC Drama Awards held on December 30, 2011 and the Paeksang Arts Awards held in April 2012.

Park Yoo Chun said, “Even if it’s for different pieces, if we get a chance to go I hope we’ll get to stand on the red carpet of Cannes together. We went together for the Paeksang Arts Awards, and that felt great. I was so proud that we brothers were sitting at the same table. I hope we can take a lot of pictures at Cannes.”

He then added, “Yoo Hwan is better at English than I am. I think I’ll be able to use my brother as an interpreter. (Laugh)”

Park Yoo Chun recently gathered much popularity for his Crown Prince Lee Gak role in SBS’ Rooftop Prince.

In all seriousness, I ask as someone who hasn't watched either of their acting, are they good enough to go to Cannes?

Then again, talent isn't necessarily a prerequisite for Cannes nowadays...

Well, there is some bad films and actors getting to Cannes so why not... They selected Korean films several times, it is not impossible.
But he should find some kind of "indie film" if he really wants more chance !

He needs a great film. I'd want to see him pushed to his limit as a deranged serial killer--someth along the lines of "The Chaser".

Yeah, like I said, Cannes is less about talent and more about promotion these days.

And I know Korean films get entered in Cannes, several of them have won in the past. But the Korean entries (with a few exceptions) have usually been very good films with talented actors. I don't know if Yoochun's acting is on par with someone like Won Bin.

I don't know either, I heard it was good-acting... But since it was from Cassiopeas, I won't say anything.
Korea have some really good films we agree on that. It's 'normal' that they were in Cannes, and it's a bit "exotic", and it seems like Cannes love to pick up films from "alternative" coutries... If he gets himself in a good movie, he could surely made it to Cannes.

Holy shit I would LOVE Cannes being attacked by crazy fangirls screaming while everyone would be "who the fuck is this Chinese ?"
