Is Nana the new leader of After School??

With the recent double-header news of Kahi leaving the group, as well as After School‘s impending comeback, attention has shifted to talks about who will be next-in-line to fill Kahi’s shoes as the new leader of the group.

Eagle-eyed netizens have spotted what may be a veiled hint in one of their teaser photos for their upcoming “Flashback” comeback album. In the group shot featuring all eight of the members, Nana alone was revealed to be wearing gold-plated shoes instead of the usual black the rest of the girls are sporting.

With their “Bang!” comeback two years ago, then-leader Kahi exhibited a similar style with her trademark gold drum, which differentiated her from the rest of the group and helped mark her position as the leader of After School.

Pledis Entertainment maintained a neutral stance on the issue, neither denying nor confirming, saying, “You’ll be able to find out when you watch their comeback stage on the 21st”.

If anyone deserves to be leader after Kahi, Jungah would totally do well. She's the one of two original members left now in After School. And with Kahi gone, she's the older member.

using the shoes as a way to tell who is the leader is so dumb, especially mentioning the golden drum, which shows that they don't follow AS because the golden drum rotated between kahi and jungah during lives, jungah using it more often even, and even nana used it during the bang photoshoot.

As much as I love Nana, I highly doubt that making her the leader would go over well =/ I'm not even quite sure if she fills all the requirements either and she needs a tad bit more experience since she hasn't been with the group that long...</p>

That being said, I say Jun ah is the most applicable in this situation.

That'd be unfair if Jungah doesn't get to be leader unless she was graduating soon also. There's also still Jooyeon and Uee before it ever gets to Nana too.

i like that after school had something to differentiate who was the leader, like the gold drum. (even tho as someone else pointed out, the drum rotated between jung-ah and kahi) i wish more groups would do that; have one member who is the clear leader, or not have one at all like miss a. it seems like most groups have a "leader" who is only titled so because of their age.
