LOS ANGELES: Korean actors Lee Byung Hun and Ahn Sung Ki have literally made their mark in Hollywood.
The two stars became the first actors from Asia ever to leave their handprints, footprints and signatures at the forecourt of the iconic Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, in a ceremony during the opening of the Look East Korean Film Festival on Saturday, reported Korean media.
"I can't believe I just got my handprints here.
"It's an incredible moment (for me) because I used to take pictures in front of the handprints of Hollywood actors and actresses," said Lee, whose imprints now join those of stars like Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep outside the theatre.
Veteran actor Ahn, who has appeared in nearly 100 films since 1980, said that it is a "tremendous honour" to leave his handprints and footprints alongside other big stars.
Other attendees at the film festival, which features 10 films from Korea's past and present such as "Unbowed" and "A Bittersweet Life", include "Poetry"director Lee Chang Dong, "A Bittersweet Life" director Kim Ji Woon, as well as "Grey's Anatomy" star Sandra Oh.
