sm to consider adding an additional date to BoA's first concert after tickets sell out in 20 seconds

BoA's first solo concert sold out simultaneously with the opening of ticket sales.

Reservations for BoA's solo concert BoA Special Live 2013 ~Here I Am~ began and finished simultaneously. As it was sold out within mere moments, requests for additional concert dates are currently pouring in from fans. SM Entertainment is planning to hold a private conference on the 21st in order to deliberate on whether to add an additional date.

It appears that the anticipation for her first solo concert was high. A representative of her agency expressed "It is a solo concert BoA is holding thirteen years after her debut," and "Fans who were thirsty for BoA's concert are showing support and interest that is hotter than ever."

The war for tickets is ongoing even after the conclusion of reservations. Currently, a war to obtain canceled tickets is taking place on ticket reservation sites. Ticket prices, which were originally between 80,000 to 90,000 won, went up to 150,000 won in transactions after the tickets were sold out.

Meanwhile BoA is holding her solo concert BoA Special Live 2013 ~Here I Am~ on January 26th at the Olympic Park's Olympic Hall in Seoul. She is planning to focus on showing diverse musical color, and performances of her latest tracks are a matter of course.

The world already ended here. Apparently the end of the world is very respectable of time differences.

In. America.

Is anyone surprised?! She's attracted so many fans over so many years and this is her first official concert since then. She may not be ~relevant~ anymore but everyone and their mothers in Korea would kill to watch her perform.

Exactly. SM needs to realise that that girl is LOVED.

Queen is slaying all your faves! But seriously, 20 seconds? Is that even logical for a concert to be sold out that fast?

20 seconds was all it took for all the seats to be initially sold out, and though it's extremely unlikely it's not impossible. Especially for someone like BoA. But tickets become available if fans get better seats and then uncheck other seats; have their internet crash; accidentally refresh or close the page or fail to pay within the designated time frame. So you can sit there and keep refreshing the page and seats will become available, but for big names the competition for seats is really fierce and eventually all seats will sell out. It really is fastest finger first.

And of course for the bigger names people will pay for seats they no longer want and then sell them off for higher prices to desperate fans that didn't get them. And I wouldn't be surprised if some people sat there to try and get seats to then make a profit out of them later.

For some of the newer groups like B1A4 they sold out and then lots of people cancelled their tickets. You will have a group of 4 friends all trying to get 4 tickets for themselves and the 3 friends other friends, then whoever gets the better tickets will keep them and the others will cancel their tickets. I looked at getting B1A4 tickets for a friend after they'd 'sold out' and there were loads of seats at the back of the arena and in the seating still available 2 weeks before the concert. And of course a lot of their fans are teenagers and students so they may have to cancel due to exam commitments or because of their parents' decisions.

So yeah the articles are true in a sense but it's not sold out like you would initially think.

anconeous 21st-Dec-2012 07:51 am (UTC)

vowel 21st-Dec-2012 07:56 am (UTC)
LOL wow yeah i thought that was just so weird since she was so big in japan, but srsly, korea??? 8\
anconeous 21st-Dec-2012 07:58 am (UTC)
IKR?! I don't get why this is the first in Korea, too. SM could've easily arranged concerts for her over the years but they apparently never did.
cettefemme90 21st-Dec-2012 07:08 pm (UTC)
Has she even been in stuff like Dream Concert? She gets such a raw deal from SM and she's a bonafide legend in Korea with a lengthy career...

Wow finally the Queen will have a solo concert. Slay them Boa!

kawaiisis86 22nd-Dec-2012 01:04 am (UTC)
She needs to do a damn global tour. Ah well I'll be in Korea next year so hopefully I can see her.
yingmoon26 22nd-Dec-2012 02:57 am (UTC)
20 seconds whooooooa

but lol what did SM expect. it's her first Korean concert ever. don't even understand why it took so long for this to happen.

i love how it says they're considering it though. i highly doubt they're considering; they're for sure adding dates. they're just trying to make people more anxious and jump at it even more.
