KOREAN POP, THE GLOBAL "PHENOMENON" CONTAMINATING CULTURES + My Real life encounter with Racism at Big Bang concert

Investigative journalist Tay Symone (moi) has been getting worldwide recognition for her work and dozens of journalistic offers and opportunities. I'm not gonna lie I do appreciate the fame and money I've made during my time reporting for ohnotheydidnt but due to my journalistic integrity I could NOT accept those offers due to the censorship and corruption from the government, white house, and other racist institutions. I will remain a free woman reporting for the people and fighting the GOOD FIGHT!
The year 2012 has shown that Korea will stop at NOTHING to dominate the world's music industry while simultaneously attempting to obliterate every culture and race across the globe. The one area in which Korea displays diversity is in their widely varying spectrum of Races in which they spew hateful stereotypes and cultural contamination. The usage of the n word is definitely nothing new in KKK-POP, yet it's still just as disgusting to see. In light of fizzled out girl group "Girls' Generation"'s songwriter advocating for a Black Genocide (covered in my previous post), year-end statistics show that racism in K-pop is in fact at an all time high in what some are calling a "nu-Hitler" generation.

Member Lime of the alleged "girl group" Hello Venus uploaded a video of her rapping Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now”, and she clearly says the word NIGGA loud and proud. The company attempts to cover up the racist act upon realization of the aforementioned racist act by bleeping her out. Bleeping it out doesn’t change the fact that she had the nerve to say it as clearly evidenced by her mouth, once again showing the insensitivity of KKK-POP.

In an even worse instance, LE of the girl group EXID uses the n word in CONVERSATION during a talk show, thinking she’s cool for saying it. Though the hosts tell her it’s bad for her to say that word, they laugh along with her. Truly disgusting. Check the video at 13:49 for the chilling footage.

Top tier girlband 4MINUTE released a “Hindi” version of their song “Volume Up” which was in all actuality, them singing in gibberish. Moreover, look at all the stereotypical and racist imagery in the video.

Indie boyband WONDERBOYZ also released a music video for their single open the door which had racist potrayals of Indian and Bollywood culture. We shall not let our Indian brothers and sisters’ culture be exploited by these uncultured hooligans.

The most popular boyband in South Korea BIG BANG, who is usually known for their appropriation of black culture, shows off their racial insensitivity to Indian people as well.

It doesn’t stop there with BIG BANG as well. Look at one wannabe black man member (Taeyang)’s twitter icon. It’s a drawing of him in black face with nappy hair.

Now last month what had happened was is I had found out a friend was a huge big bang fan who had two extra tickets to their show in Jersey. I jumped at the chance to go out on the field and do my first on-the-scene report.

The concert venue was empty. Seungri and Taeyang tried to explain it off as because of the blizzard but the snow had already melted by that afternoon so they were lying.

So these four korean girls came half way into the show and had their seats in front of us. They were wearing ugly home made big bang tshirts with the korean flag on them. Me, and Shadavia (my cousin's girlfriend) were sitting behind them. They got up to dance stiffly and we couldnt see the concert because they were in our line of vision. I asked them nicely to move or sit down so we could see and they said "No, I don't care if you can't see" and started snickering to each other in Korean. So I stretched out my foot because my new gforce (some kind of jordans or whatever) were too small for my feet (they were the only ones in my size at Champs) and rested my foot on the back of her seat. All of a sudden she slams my foot back and tells me to TW: RACISM "take (my) nasty jungle bunny feet off (her) coat" I was stunned and if it weren't for me carrying an eighth on me and Shadavia's probation I would've whooped her ass. She started calling me and Shadavia apes and said she didn't know why they let monkeys into a concert for humans. (First of all that bitch looked more like a monkey than I did cuz my new sneakers were spotless and I had just hot combed my hair an hour before the concert) I was surrounded (more or less cuz I told y'all the venue was empty as hell) by other asian and Korean people and they didn't say anything to me but a lot of them snickered at the verbal hate crime I had just endured. SECOND OF ALL THOSE NIGGAS WERE IN JERSEY AND THEY SANG EMPIRE STATE OF MIND FOR US! Which some may find humorous but looking deeper it's just a sad reminder of how ignorant they truly are to the countries they're so desperately trying to overtake. Thirdly, Daesung said "What's Up New George" and ALL 5 OF THEM failed to address Hurricane Sandy, showing a disgusting lack of concern for the very people they were making hundreds upon hundreds of dollars off of for that concert.

At the end of the concert on the SECOND night we waited outside to see Big Bang before they left, but their racist staff members pushed all of us dark skinned folk to the back and let the white people in the front. I guess they didn’t want Big Bang to be “scared”!! Truly horrible experience.
My TWO ticket stubs showing I was at the concert:

never took soc 101 in college. I was busy slaving away over chemistry. you're also perpetuating ignorance if you don't want to take the time to educate people.

Thanks. Basically a lot of assumptions were applied to me from that one post.

It's not okay for anyone to say. Whatever cause or point this whole article is trying to defend or prove is defeated by it being used right after getting angry about others using it. Especially when the word is coming out of, as you said, people seeing it stated in music and being too naive to realize it's not just a word but an insult.

like everyone else said, google is your best friend.
although i do agree that lot of asian ppl don't actually understand the implications of the word.
synonynonym 26th-Dec-2012 08:42 am (UTC)
black people get to say it bc black people are black people that's why. there's a history behind the word. you can't say no one should be using it bc you're not black. you don't get a say. especially if you're white. it doesn't matter if korean artists or anyone else that's not black means it differently when saying it like when singing along to a song. you still don't need to be saying it
