Aziatix Signs a $10 Million Contract with Cash Money Records

Article: Aziatix officially signs into American market with $10 million USD contract

Source: E-Daily via Naver

1. [+300, -44] SM, are you reading this article? Until when are you going to insist on putting out idols without any talent? Your company chooses nothing but kids with pretty faces and hot bodies... Honestly, I'm sick of it. SNSD? I don't even know if they're singers or not because all they do is dance on stage and lip sync with barely any clothing..

2. [+209, -10] Aziatix, do well!

3. [+208, -12] People that support idols are seriously stupid ㅋㅋㅋ Aziatix has amazing songs with skills that can put any idol in the grave so it's pathetic to me how people try to put them down ㅋㅋ They sit there memorizing all the names of Korean idol members but ignore the truly talented Korean groups that are promoting overseas like this ㅋㅋㅋ

4. [+183, -8] The Jung Jae Yoon CEO is a Solid member ㅜㅜ

5. [+167, -8] Why do you think this group is advancing into America... Because the Asian market is way too small for the amount of skills and talent they have. They have what it takes to make it big in America because they're on another level from the stupid idol kids who try to make money off of their visuals alone. This is a group leaving to create more music with their talent alone, you hear that, Soo Man?

6. [+141, -9] As a 40 year old man, this is my first time hearing about this group, but seeing as how there is so much praise about their talent, I really see no reason why they should receive any hateful comments. I will be checking out their songs to hear why they have such great reviews.

7. [+115, -5] Seriously, don't mention Big Bang or TVXQ in articles like this. Aziatix is on another level. It's a disappointment that Aziatix isn't more well known in Korea considering their skills.

8. [+99, -2] Our country's music industry is pathetic for letting go of a daebak rookie group like this and our country's music market is pathetic for being limited to idols only

9. [+79, -5] We can't let any more talents like this slip us by. Think of all of the indie bands that we let disband... We need to spotlight more talents and stop producing dancers that can only shine under stage lights.

10. [+65, -8] Have you haters ever even listened to Eddie's solo album? Just go and listen to your damn SNSD ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

most of the netizens comments were bashing idols instead of congratulating the group for the contract...

From the articles at the source, netizens really don't like idols, always putting them down in face of actors/actresses and musicians they deem worthy. :/

ah shit this is awesome!
lonelymoon 10th-Feb-2013 06:58 am (UTC)
If this is true, so happy for them. Aziatix is so talented.

here to say I love your userpic haha. it's so true. I come home from work ~6 or 6:30pm and then the whoooole night until I sleep is usually spent catching up on kpop, kdramas, making omona posts, etc. unless I'm going out. Then, if you want to buy anything...

i'm scared to ask... who are these guys and what have they done?
prettyminstrel 10th-Feb-2013 07:03 am (UTC)
i don't remember how but i do have Eddie's first solo album on my hard drive before all the aziatix stuff began. it's very wheesung-ish, not that i expected much considering it was produced by YG

Kpop is darksided and full of gargoyles commanded by lee soo man.

but this one has netizen comments so i guess not really. bitter as hell netizen comments. spending more time bashing idols than congratulating aziatix! ha!

altho it DOES raise the point that korea REALLY needs to focus on giving the spotlight to non idol groups. like REALLY. like, u NEED to be an idol to succeed so u see companies throwing solo artists in to idol groups to get a few bucks and it really sucks for the less talented or other wise talented members being outshone by the company jewel.

it's one of numerous reason why i'll never ever let go of jpop. avoiding idols is easy. there r a large variety of producers, solo artists, and bands keeping the industry going. i'm DYING for kpop to make that change. they need their own version of hikaru utada to help push more diversity in to the mainstream.

Yeah, I submitted right after the first one was approved. I guess they approved mine for the netizen's comments, but they aren't all the interesting XD. I was posting for the news.

I want more variety in kpop too T_T.

aifurikuri 10th-Feb-2013 07:35 am (UTC)
But they aren't idols and are mostly based in the US so I don't see why netizens are even comparing... Anyway, if true, CONGRATS and wish em much luck!!!!
obviousgirl 10th-Feb-2013 07:42 am (UTC)
I saw this when it came up on my fb at 6am; but was too tired to fully comprehend and get excited. lol
oldwillow_brook 10th-Feb-2013 07:43 am (UTC)
I wonder if this means that Jae Chong will be doing less for them now?

Also, AZIATIX PLEASE DON'T HIKE UP YOUR CONCERT PRICES. I've seen them twice for $20 each and I literally loved every single moment of it but if signing onto a label like this I hope this doesn't mean a major change in concert venue and a major change in prices D:
obviousgirl 10th-Feb-2013 07:48 am (UTC)
He went to la with them so sure he'll still work with them, plus the record deal could mean more exposure for him.
bolingi_aii 10th-Feb-2013 07:53 am (UTC)
Congrats Aziatix. Get that money.
