Victoria reveals her physical complex

f(x)'s Victoria recently attended the premiere of KBS W's Road Variety program, 'Glitter' where she revealed a physical complex she has--her legs.

When asked about her complex, she commented, "Since I exercised for 10 years, I gain muscle very easily." "Because I have so much muscles on my legs, it doesn't make a difference if I try to lose weight. It's stressful to have a lot of leg muscles."

When asked what she does to conceal her complex she said, "I either wear garments that come right above my knees or long skirts."

i have the same complex too ): it sucks tbh esp as an asian girl since a lot ppl assume that asian ppl have thin legs.

it's so messed up that we live in a society that teaches women that it's better for them to have thin legs than muscular ones, even if they're a dancer that needs strong legs like wtf.

i've never even noticed her having thick legs anyway so meh.

yeah it's fucking awful. i want to proud of my own muscular legs but gdi it's really hard. i catch myself feeling jealous of girls with thin legs all the time.

I've never thought of her legs as thick. C'mon, she's a dancer, her legs gotta be strong. Who cares if they're not thin. Not saying that thin legs = frail, but it sucks that she has a complex over being muscular.

exactly, op, exactly. people freak out when they see luna's because no, asian girls having muscular thighs are totally weird and awful.

It ruins my self-esteem....
awsteven 31st-Jul-2013 01:46 am (UTC)

Wtf how are strong, healthy, muscular legs bad?!
dapo322 31st-Jul-2013 02:07 am (UTC)
I just remembered that arirang video criticizing idols with thicker legs, but instead called them "healthy" as if having thicker or muscular legs were a flaw

lol this is funny because her legs are literally one of my favorite things about her. When I see her in dresses or shorts I'm always like "GODDAMN IT VICTORIA YOUR LEGS ARE SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!!!"
joansmalls 31st-Jul-2013 01:47 am (UTC)
poor girl :(

As a professional dancer who also has muscles in her legs, I totally understand where she is coming from. And it hasn't matter when I was super underweight or not, my legs have never been thin. The rest of my body changes, but my legs just were there. Pilates helps though.

(my thighs aren't super huge, there like 47cm, they're just big in proportion. Or why am I defending myself. Oh yeah, I feel like my thighs are fat.....*personal issues please ignore*)
khuntflap 31st-Jul-2013 01:53 am (UTC)
Girl, werk them thighs and be proud of your skills; dancer's legs are gorgeous, male or female.

But she's perfection walking, and needs to show them gams off more. D: Like others have said, it really sucks the standards that women have to adhere to in Korea. She's absolutely gorgeous, and when she moves in her dances all those muscles are so fluid and lovely, not bulky. :/

Also can relate, though I'm Irish decent, but have always had very muscular legs from years of horse back riding. Kind sucks for fitting in jeans.
sowahso 31st-Jul-2013 01:58 am (UTC)
wtf these legs r so nice though
Sad that she has been made to feel bad about having a beautiful body.

Can this be a body image post????
I hate my butt and the fact that I have dark eye circles. Plus i really need to start working out and get an upper body. I wish there was a plastic surgery discussion becuase those r interesting and fun.
kotetsu 31st-Jul-2013 02:18 am (UTC)
have you seen how much weight she's lost since 2009? even since 2011? probably that + one of these types of treatments, 1 (no scarring reduction) or 2 (non surgical sculpting)
cuizy 31st-Jul-2013 02:03 am (UTC)
Well.... Asian calves are supposed to be wide..... Something about different muscle types we have in our calves compared to other races.
babydollnana 31st-Jul-2013 02:09 am (UTC)
Just last night I was thinking how jealous I was of her legs!
