Big Bang will be starting their Japanese dome tour on November 16 in the Seibu Dome. However, they revealed on the 15th that they will be having an additional performance on January 13 at Osaka's Kyocera Dome.
YG Entertainment said, "For the dome tours, we set a remarkable record with as many as 1.4 million people reserving advance tickets . . . In order to repay Big Bang's fans for their fervent support, we decided to have an additional performance. Including this performance, Big Bang is scheduled to have a total of sixteen performances in six different cities. Considering this six-location dome tour as the precedent among singers promoting overseas, we will be calling forth 771,000 people."
The agency says they owe such a result to the solo activities of each Big Bang member.
Big Bang's leader G-Dragon had his first world tour 'G-Dragon 2013 1st World Tour One of a Kind' in eight different countries, thirteen different locations, and twenty-seven performances, bringing together 570,000 people. He plans to release his Japanese debut solo album on November 27th to continue establishing his role as a global artist.
Seungri, likewise, has been garnering a lot of attention in Japan with his appearances in various shows and his debut album 'Let's Talk About Love,' which ranked number one on Oricon's Daily Ranking. Daesung also ranked on an Oricon chart with the release of his first debut solo album 'D'scover,' which took the number two spot on Oricon's Weekly Ranking. He also had his first Japanese solo tour at twenty different places for twenty-six performances, gathering a crowd of 100,000 people.
