After the announcement of T-ara’s Jiyeon and Hyomin both going solo, more details about each of their concepts have been revealed.
Sources spoke with Star News on March 11 and said, “Jiyeon and Hyomin will be releasing solo singles in April. However, both of their concepts will be completely different.”
According to this source, Jiyeon will be having a 2014 version of “Coming of Age Ceremony” concept for her solo debut. “Coming of Age” is a 2000 hit by Park Ji Yoon, written and composed by JYP. Even after 14 years, it remains as a classic when it comes to the sexy concept for female singers.
On the other hand, Hyomin will have a 2014 version of “Ten Minutes” concept. “Ten Minutes” is the 2003 hit by Lee Hyori with a hip-hop base. “Ten Minutes” was Lee Hyori’s breakthrough song to shed her girl group image and become a solo act.
Industry sources revealed, “Jiyeon will be pairing with Duble Sidekick and Hyomin will be working with Brave Brother. They will each be adding the current trend to their respective concepts. Through their solo activities, Jiyeon and Hyomin will further display their own style and character.”
Core Contents Media announced that Jiyeon will be releasing her solo single first and Hyomin afterwards.
Jiyeon’s solo single producer Duble Sidekick has come up with hits like Girl’s Day‘s “Something,” SISTAR‘s “Give It To Me” and “Loving You” and Leessang‘s “Tears.” Stylist Lim Soo Jung, who worked with artists like Davichi and Sunmi will be working with Jiyeon for her debut.
On the other hand, Hyomin will be working with Brave Brother, who has produced hits like Sunmi’s “Full Moon,” SISTAR’s “Alone,” and 4minute‘s “What’s Your Name.” Hyomin’s stylist will be Lee Eun Ah, who has worked with SISTAR and A Pink.
After Jiyeon and Hyomin finish their solo activities, they will resume activities with T-ara as a group.
