Upcoming SBS TV Wed-Thu drama ‘The Village: Achiara’s Secret’ held its first script reading session recently, which was attended by over 20 cast members like Moon Geun Young, BTOB’s Yook Sung Jae, On Joo Wan, Shin Eun Kyung, and others.
Moon Geun Young plays the role of So Yoon who appears weak on the outside, but is actually a really decisive and brave woman who seeks to uncover the secrets of the village. Even during breaks, Moon Geun Young could be seen discussing the script with the writer, and showed her professionalism. Yook Sung Jae plays the village policeman Park Woo Jae who will work with So Yoon to seek the truth, and he impressed many with his stable acting during the session.
The most interesting part is definitely the main suspect. No one knows who the real suspect is, and speculation would intensify following little hints dropped by the director each time.
The production team said, “All the cast members are really into the charms of the drama, and they actively engaged the writer and director in conversations even after the session, so that they can work together to produce a perfect drama. The writer has spent a lot of time in penning the script, and the story’s really compact. The relationships between the characters are also really well written.”
The village is described to be a peaceful one with very little crime, but that peace is shattered with the discovery of various corpses that were buried a long time ago. With the discovery, many mysterious secrets start to come to the surface. The village policeman Park Woo Jae and English language teacher So Yoon will work together in uncovering the secrets that lay hidden in the seemingly peaceful and quiet village.
‘The Village: Achiara’s Secret’ will premiere on October 14th, following ‘Yong Pal’ through SBS TV.
