KARA’s Goo Hara as a Vampire girl in Nylon Korea

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

KARA’s Goo Hara is featured in the February issue of Nylon Korea as a ‘Vampire girl’. Hara was transformed into a totally different look.

From her sweet, cutesy, sexy images to now, a dramatic smokey-eyed ‘Vampire girl’ with dark crimson lips.

For me, this photo shoot is far from being Vampire-like, but this style really suits Hara well! Great look for a cocktail or maybe even a red carpet event. I especially love the hair accessories used for this shoot- very outstanding, and gives a very stylish look to the whole outfit.

How do you like KARA’s Goo Hara’s new style?

Gavy NJ - Yes, Love (MV Teaser)

Source: TYPICALpocky7 @ Youtube

Teaser is a few days old but since there were the news of the MBLAQ/Beast collab with Gavy NJ I thought of posting it. This is not the song they'll be featuring in though, this one is 사랑이 그렇습니다 ("Yes, Love" but I think the meaning is more of "love is like that"), and the boys will feature in the live performances for 해바라기 (Sunflower).

Park Kyunglim's 300mm interview with SNSD

2009 was definitely "Girls' Generation'. Three years into their debut, they won a grand prize for Golden Disk digital and won six awards at the Melon Music Award. Sweeping all awards at various ceremonies, they all said, "Last year was magical".

"Park Kyunglim's 300mm interview" met twice with SNSD at the end of December and this month. First interview took place on the 30th of December at year-end award ceremony. For in-depth interview, on mid-January, we met with SNSD's Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, and Tiffany. They dressed up causally without make-up and met with Park Kyunglim at a cafe in Chungdamdong, Kangnam, Seoul. After they finished the interview that lasted two hours, they said, "I don't think we were this honest before with the interviews. It feels like we're burnt out".

▲ Like an old couple, we have come to accept it.

Jo Kwon, “Nowadays I’m the trend, I’m not envious of 2PM’s popularity”

2AM Jo Kwon, who has been well known as the ‘entertainment-dol’ on various variety shows, reveals confidently that he is not envious of 2PM’s popularity.

Jo Kwon was on MBC ‘Golden Fishery – Radio Star’ aired on 20th January when he talks about the hardship of 8 long years of training before his debut and also his recent popularity on entertainment shows.

The MCs asked Jo Kwon on the show that day, “To say the truth, isn’t 2PM from the same company getting more popularity? Aren’t you envious?” And Jo Kwon replied, “I don’t think it that way at all. These days Jo Kwon is the in thing.”

Jo Kwon added, “I feel that I saved 2AM. And now I’m not envious of 2PM’s popularity.” Even though he shows much confidence in himself, because most of his teenage years was spent as a trainee, he also revealed stories of his trainee days.

Jo Kwon said, “Because I didn’t image that it will take up 8 years till debut, I didn’t thought of changing to another company. It was quite tough looking at how WonderGirls SunYe, who trained for about the same period of time as me, became so successful, and I was honestly shaken then.”

“I hope there will not be any long-period training after me. There is no memories as a teenager, and you live by everyone with that tension not knowing if you will be cut off. I was angry and hurt emotionally so many times.”

Jo Kwon also revealed that he was supposed to be part of 2PM but because of the marketing strategies for the song ‘This Song’, he joined 2AM instead.

SK-NK Drama Continues: South Korean Minister Vows Preemptive Strike Against NK Nuclear Attack

Defense Minister Kim Tae-young said Wednesday the military could conduct a preemptive strike against North Korean nuclear facilities, should signs of a nuclear attack by the North emerge in the event of war.

"A significant amount of damage could be sustained if we were to respond after a nuclear attack by North Korea, so we would have to hit North Korean targets as soon as clear signs of such an attack are detected,"
Kim said in a defense forum in Seoul.

"There is a controversy over the legitimacy of preemptive raids, but we should be allowed to do so if North Korea were to launch a nuclear strike,"
he said.

The remarks came just days after North Korea threatened to break off all dialogue and negotiations with South Korea, attacking Seoul for drawing up a new contingency plan to cope with possible internal instability, such as a regime collapse, in the reclusive state.

JYPE holding a press conference about JAY.

2PM's Jaebum is joining? Withdrawing?

2PM's agency JYP Entertainment will be making a company announcement on the course of action for Jaebum. An associate stated that JYPE will be holding a press conference on the 24th, although the actual content of the conference is not yet revealed.

There are two possible topics that the conference could touch on. 2PM Jaebum's complete withdrawal or a return sounds like a reasonable guess since the company's official stance has been much requested.

First, the possibility for Jaebum's return is that the public and press alike believe that it is the perfect time for his return. The boycott stance that the fans took after Jaebum's leave last September has put much pressure on the company.

On the 15th, 2PM's gyopo fans even put out an ad in a Los Angeles newspaper, proving that the interest and attention of fans have yet to be answered and that JYPE must come out with an official statement. On the 17th, 2PM also completed their first album promotions and there is much hope that Jaebum will be a part of their coming album release.

However, apart from these speculations, there lies a heavier weight on the fans. The press conference was originally set to be on the 21st but since it was the day of 2AM's album release, the conference was delayed to the 24th after their STV 'Inkigayo' comeback performance.

It appears to be a tactic to prevent bad news in the face of 2AM's return, as the company fully knows that 2PM fans alike are supporting 2AM. Although there has yet to be an official announcement or background on Jaebum's complete withdrawal, should JYPE reveal it on the 24th, the music world will surely be shaken up again.

ETA/ 2OD writes another article, very misleading though. It's NOT and actual statement.

The agency of 2PM's former member Park Jaebum, JYP Entertainment,
has denied reports of a press conference on the 24th stating, "No."

An associate of JYPE stated through an interview with Money Today on the 21st "We do not have any plans on releasing information about Jaebum's current course of action or the company's official stance."

Other associates of JYPE also stated "We have yet to hear anything regarding the company's official announcement regarding Jaebum."

May be taken out with full credits. You are not allowed add yourself to the credits nor edit the credits.

South Koreans told to go home and make babies

South Korean government workers are being given an unusual instruction - go home and multiply.

At 1900 on Wednesday, officials at the Ministry of Health will turn off all the lights in the building.
They want to encourage staff to go home to their families and, well, make bigger ones. They plan to repeat the experiment every month.
The country has one of the world's lowest birth rates, lower even than neighbouring Japan.

Boosting the number of newborn children is a priority for the government, which is staring into the abyss of a rapidly ageing society, falling levels of manpower and spiralling health care costs.
The Ministry of Health, now sometimes jokingly referred to as the Ministry of Matchmaking, is in charge of spearheading this drive, and it clearly believes its staff should lead by example.
Generous gift vouchers are on offer for officials who have more than one child, and the department organises social gatherings in the hope of fostering love amongst its bureaucrats.
But critics say what is really needed is widescale reform to tackle the burdensome cost of childcare and education that puts many young people off starting a family.

Comments on the article;
"It is normal for women who have a baby to be fired in Korea. Given this situation, women do not want to have a baby. Moreover, the government in Seoul doesn't say anything to support a family. It's quite ridiculous."
Seongjin, Gwangju
