B.A.P.’s Bang Yong Guk discusses the differences between “Power” and “Warrior”

Having returned with a strong new comeback track titled “Power“, the boys of B.A.P. have been making their rounds on the first week of comeback stages.

After ‘Music Core‘, leader Bang Yong Guk sat down with reporters to share his thoughts on the group’s comeback.

Bang Yong Guk began, “It’s not something we’ve been preparing for a long time for, but we did work really hard to show improvement for our fans. This album is extremely meaningful for us in that way.”

He continued, “Compared to our debut track, ‘Warrior‘, our choreography has gotten a lot more fierce. We probably rehearsed longer for ‘Power’ than ‘Warrior’ since there were a lot of complex, detailed moves we had to pay attention to. And since the choreography gets violent at times, the members would bump into each other often. It hurt a lot, but it was really fun.”

Concluding the interview, he stated, “We’ve returned with a message more positive than ‘Warrior’ so we hope ‘Power’ receives a lot of love. I’m curious as to how our fans will receive the song. I’ll continue to promote with both fun and anticipation.”

North Koreans tear South Korean President apart

Can't embed the video so watch it here

In a bizarre display of violence, a crowd of North Koreans have destroyed a dummy of South Korean President Lee Myung-bak.

The effigy could be seen hanging from a bridge, before an attack dog, a tank and rocks were used to tear it apart.

The display comes amid speculation the North is preparing to test a nuclear weapon for the third time. A nuclear test would showcase the North's technological skills, helping to impress a hardline military at home and buyers of North Korean weapons, one of its few viable exports.

It would come as Kim Jong-un, the third of his line to rule North Korea, seeks to cement his grip on power. North Korea has yet to show, however, that it can make a bomb small enough to fit on a missile. The recent test-launch of a long-range missile also failed.

Recently, North Korean state media has intensified its criticism of Lee Myung-bak over his remarks criticising its failed rocket launch. North Korea's state-television KRT broadcast massive anti-Lee rallies in various locations on Friday.

North and South Korea are still technically at war since the 1950-53 Korean War ended in a truce without a peace treaty.

Actress says Africa was a shock

Actress Shin Eun-kyung revealed that touring Africa was no bed of roses at a press conference on Thursday for SBS's new charity-based program "Hope TV."

"It was such a shock being there. It's about 100 times worse than what you see on TV. I feel bad for saying this, but I really hated being there as you feel like you really can't do much to alleviate their suffering," said Shin.

During her three-day visit, the actress said she felt as if three years had passed and she spent most of her time crying in despair.

"During those times, I thought a lot about myself, about my life, and it really made me want to seek God."

The 30-year-old said visiting Burundi made her realize just how grateful she should be for her life back home.

The TV personality also asked the public to continue its support for those living in poverty-stricken areas.

The new SBS show, which airs for the first time on May 4, will sponsor and report on developments in Africa and other third-world nations.
