U-Kiss's international fanclub exceeds 300,000; Avex, "Popularity similar to TVXQ"

U-Kiss has proven to be very popular overseas. U-Kiss opened their international fan club last year, which recently surpassed 300,000 fans.

Their Japanese management company, Avex Entertainment, said, "After promoting in Japan for one year and going on their Arena Tour, we're expecting U-Kiss's popularity to rise similarly to that of TVXQ's."

To prove U-Kiss's popularity overseas, U-Kiss is the only Korean artist to have been invited in an upcoming festival to be held in Latin America on May 12th.

Several members of U-Kiss are fluent in both English and Chinese, making it easier for them to communicate with fans overseas. These skills will also help them in public relation purposes for overseas appearances.

With U-Kiss's popularity overseas rising, it is possible that the group will soon become the new leaders of the Hallyu Boom and become Hallyu Stars.

Meanwhile, U-Kiss will be participating in South America's largest music festival on May 12th called "EVENTO 40," and will then return home to continue activities for their title track, "DORADORA."

As the third runner up for the interview and the time being to interview Daehyun, he opened the door to the recording room of TS Entertainment where the interview was held, greeting the reporter with a bright smile. In asking the question if he’s overheard the interviews of bang Yongguk and Himchan, all he did was return a bashful smile.

Boy band "SHINee" from SM Entertainment has been spotted being RACIST in a new performance in Fukuoka, Japan.

The boys are seen in the beginning being attacked by some supposive Native Americans who are dressed in tacky and stereotypical native outfits. They are then placed in shackles and taken captive by these backup dancers who are mocking the Native American culture. They make calls reminiscint of the time when Native Americans were jokes and ridiculed as barbarians. Onew and the boys then continue to dance with them in a Native-mocking fashion that is both untalented and unattractive and uncouth because of its racist undertones.

Official announcement from JYPE regarding Wonder Girls 2012 activities

Dear Wonder Girls fans,

Today we would like to address the details about 2012 Wonder Girls’ activity.

First, we would like to emphasize that the entrance to the Japanese music market is just another stage for the Wonder Girls who already procured United States, China, and other regions worldwide as their performance stage. After Wonder Girls have received numerous inquiries from Japan and observing their advertisement and music business flourishing even without their official introduction, the members have expressed their intention for entering the Japanese market. Hence, we have been planning accordingly.

Similarly to the selection process for BGM for the ‘Mashu Puff Ko’ tie up advertisement; we requested the Japanese record label to listen to the Wonder Girls’ released albums including the latest singles, before we came to a conclusion. In order to accommodate their strong mutual interest in ‘Nobody,’ we decided to move forward with ‘Nobody’ as the title song for their first Japanese album.

Next, we would also like to address the domestic (Korea) schedule for Wonder Girls.

Wonder Girls’ new album in Korea is scheduled to be released in early June. We have a line up of captivating performances, to meet the expectation of our domestic fans. We are delighted to inform you to highly anticipate the new looks from the Wonder Girls for this upcoming album.

Last announcement is in regards to the plans for U.S. activities.

After the Wonder Girls TV movie has been aired through TeenNick, we have been receiving proposals from the major broadcasting companies in the United States. Therefore, we are in the middle of arbitration for the proposals we have received. As of now, our goal is to start implementing U.S. activities as soon as the plans for the TV-related project is finalized. We plan to utilize this project as a marketing tool for the release of the new album.

Finally, we would like to thank all our fans for your attention and continuous love and support for the Wonder Girls.

Thank You,

What Will YG’s New Girl Group Be Like?

by: jbarky

This article will try to figure out what kind of direction YG Entertainment’s new girl group will be going for, according to what information we do have about the members and YG Entertainment’s past groups.

The first interesting piece of information that we learned about the new girl group is that they have a “no plastic surgery clause” in the contract for the members. Also, we know that the group will have more than seven members. (Some sources say that there are 10 individuals training to be members of the group)

Now, here are the pictures of the revealed members.

The First Member: Kim Eun Bi From Superstar K2

On November 21, 2011 we found out that Super Star K2’s Kim Eun Be would be a part of the group. She made it to the “Top Six” during Mnet’s “Superstar K2” and was signed by YGE shortly after her elimination.

Kim Eun Bi’s vocal talents were already shown through “Superstar K2,” I think it is safe to assume that she will be one of the main vocalists.

Taeyeon, Jessica, and Tiffany reveal the truth behind Girls’ Generation’s weight and meal plans

On May 10th, Tiffany, Taeyeon, and Jessica opened up about Girls’ Generation‘s meal plans and the truth about the weights and heights listed on their profiles on KBS‘s ‘Happy Together 3‘.

The trio was asked to name a member who had a different weight than listed on her profile. The members replied honestly that Sooyoung, standing at 5’6″ (170 cm) tall, weighs at 106 pounds (48 kg), while YoonA, at 5’5″ (168 cm), weighs 48 kg as well.

Jessica and Taeyeon confessed, “Our profiles say we weigh 99 pounds (45 kg), but it’s actually give or take one or two kg.” Tiffany added, “I’m honestly at around 101 to 103.6 pounds (46 to 47 kg).”

When asked how they maintained their weight, Taeyeon replied, “We don’t go on any special diets. I think our natural diets adjusted to our promotional cycles. We also don’t take time off to exercise. We’d probably faint while running.”

On the topic of the group’s meal plans, Tiffany stated, “The meal plan that headlined in the media is only for the members who work out actively. It’s not for all of us. They’re usually only for the members who are doing extra activities like dramas to maintain a certain image. If all of us ate like that, it’d be difficult to promote at the level that we do.”

Netizens commented, “They’re all so skinny,” “Sooyoung and YoonA have daebak bodies,” and “Tiffany’s more honest than I expected.”
