Guess which verdict was postponed ... AGAIN?

According to the the Seoul Central District Court, the verdict for the ongoing case between JYJ and SM Entertainment over issues related to past contracts has been postponed.

The two parties were unable to reach a mutual adjustment back in their latest court session in August, and thus a new date was set for September. However, although the verdict was to be issued by 10 AM today (13th), the court recommended that the two parties mediate and postponed the verdict once again.

JYJ’s legal representatives commented, “The court has once again recommended that we try to mediate… Although there are differences of opinions, the court believes that an agreement can be reached and strongly wishes for the issue be mutually settled.”

We will be adjusting our schedules so that legal representatives of both sides can meet again soon and try once again to come to an agreement,” they said.

The Man who started it all, ‘Whatbecomes’ is still attacking Tablo!

The Tablo vs. Tajinyo case, which set the web hot on fire for the past two years, is now nearing its close. The eight Tajinyo members who had gone to trial after throwing out ungrounded suspicions got down on their knees to ask for favorable treatment.

Whatbecomes, however, the man who first started and led the suspicions against Tablo, is still at large.

On September 12, Whatbecomes left on Tajinyo a post titled, ′Tablo, don′t forgive the accused; go to court yourself as a witness and get them jail sentences′. In the post he said, ′The government is looking after you now, but a few months later you′ll learn what hell on earth is like. You′ll meet a miserable end.

Whatbecomes is the ID of a Mr. Kim who lives in Chicago, and this man is the one who first spread the malicious rumors about Tablo. When he was sued by Tablo last year, he asked for forgiveness, saying, “I accept that the school records are true. Please drop the charges, but he still continues to harass the singer on the web.

smtown singapore on nov 23

Arguably the biggest Korean pop music event to be held in Singapore so far will take place on Nov 23.

SM Town Live Tour III, a multi-act mega concert over four hours featuring Korean music superstars Super Junior, Girls’ Generation and BoA among others, will be staged at the Marina Bay floating platform.

Its stage is touted as the world’s largest floating stage. Measuring 120m by 83m, or 9,960 sq m, it is considerably larger than the 5,572 sq m National Day Parade stage this year.

And with 18,000 tickets to be released for sale, starting Sept 29, it should also draw far more fans than the Mnet Music Awards held last year at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, which has a maximum capacity of 12,000.

At the moment, Singapore will be one of only three stops for the concert in South-east Asia. Jakarta and Bangkok are the other two.

SM Town Live, which started in 2008, is a marquee event for the Korean pop label SM Entertainment, gathering the company’s roster of top acts such as Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, BoA, Shinee, f(x) and TVXQ. While the final line-up in Singapore has yet to be finalised, the first three acts have been confirmed.

The 10-member boy band Super Junior and nine-strong girl group Girls’ Generation, among the most popular K-pop acts in Singapore, have performed here in the past year.

Singer BoA, a former teen prodigy who released her debut album at the age of 13, has never performed in Singapore, as hercareer had peaked well before the Korean wave, or Hallyu, had started.

The current SM Town Live Tour is the concert’s third edition.

According to local concert promoter Running Into The Sun, which is bringing the concert here, it is a huge undertaking which has taken it 2 1/2 years to bring to reality.

Ms Beatrice-Chia Richmond, the company’s creative director, says: “SM Town is truly the mother of all K-pop concerts.”

She adds that the event is a “massive concert that has only been staged so far at iconic international venues”, including Seoul’s
Olympic Stadium, Los Angeles’ Staples Center, Tokyo’s Tokyo Dome and New York’s Madison Square Garden.

In Singapore, 5,000 fans will get to be in the mosh pit on the floating platform itself, with the luckiest ones just 3m from the stage.

The four-hour concert will feature fireworks, flying stunts and water features.

Priority ticket sales for OCBC card members and Samsung customers (who have to produce any Samsung handset) are from Sept 29 to Oct 1.

Public sales starts from Oct 2.

Prices will be announced later and it is not yet known how many tickets will be set aside for priority sales.

PSY becomes second Korean artist to chart on Billboard’s Hot 100

Singer PSY has set yet another record.

Up until now, the only other Korean artist to chart on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart were the Wonder Girls, who ranked at #76 with their English version of “Nobody”. PSY has broken that record, charting at #64 with “Gangnam Style“!

Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart is based on the scores of the week’s radio broadcast ratings, the sales volumes of digital downloads and albums, along with the results of streaming services.

PSY’s fame is further building in the US after signing with Scooter Braun and appearing on famous radio and talk shows. On September 13th, PSY also seized #6 on the US iTunes’ Singles Chart. Furthermore, PSY’s “Gangnam Style” MV has recorded over 150 million views, and the singer will be returning to Korea on the 25th after attending the ‘iHeartRadio Music Festival‘ in Las Vegas taking place on the 21st & 22nd.

Congratulations to PSY!

this mini kinda rocks. press play is a chill funky jam and 사랑밖에 난 몰라 is a hot retro-ish track. U & I is for those who like acoustic songs. stand up & my girl are the weaker tracks imo but they're still not bad. they're the strongest (guy?) rookies this year tbh.
