Kara‘s Han Seung Yeon recently let anti-fans know that she’s had the last straw.
On December 24, she tweeted, “Netizens who hide in anonymity and claim to represent the masses, do you feel powerful and all-knowing just because you become part of this group?”
She went on, “After standing by and watching, I couldn’t help but say something because it’s just embarrassing to tolerate it any further. If you find something offensive, you don’t have to watch it. If you don’t like it, you can just let it be. Do you always have to express how you feel in order to be satisfied? Well thank you for letting me know.”
She ended her rant by saying, “Look here. You’re wasting your time when you try to ruin the mood of someone you truly dislike. I’m going to be spending my precious time with good people and working hard, so no need to worry about me. Just think about it. Who is the one that needs a reality check?”
Netizens who saw Han Seung Yeon’s tweet commented, “She’s right, lately anti-fans have truly crossed the line,” “Live up to higher standards. Enough with cursing people out,” and “Don’t worry too much anti-fans, they like it more when you give them attention.”
I'll never get sick of idols actually sticking up for themselves, and not taking crap they shouldn't have to.

Secret’s Han Sunhwa will be releasing a duet song with B.A.P’s main vocal, Youngjae.
On the noon of the 27th, the two will be releasing the audio and music video for their duet song, ‘Everything’s Pretty’, on various music and video sites. Kang Jiwon and Kim Kibum, who have written many of Secret and B.A.P’s hit songs have made this ‘proposal song’ which was made for loving couples.
Through this song, Youngjae showed off all his charms with his husky yet sweet voice.
Han Sunhwa, who is showing various charms on MBC’s “We Got Married” will be showing lovey-dovey actions with Youngjae and not her husband, Kwanghee, causing people to say, “Won’t this arouse jealousy from Kwanghee?” We anticipate the music video to stimulate Kwanghee more because they will show lovey-dovey actions to fit the lyrics.

SOMEONE HOLD ME
The netizen who claimed to be T-ara‘s former backdancer earlier this year and fanned the flames of alleged bullying within the group has been detained at Gangnam police station.
The Gangnam police station’s cyber crime team announced that “netizen A”, who allegedly wrote that Jiyeon slapped Hwayoung for a small mistake during practice, is being accused for defamation of character. However, netizen A is claiming that he simply spread the rumor, and that he was not the writer of the original post.
A representative from the police station stated, “After [rumors of] Hwayoung being bullied came out, the news spread instantly, and because the original post was deleted, it took a long time [to investigate]. We were unable to find the originator of the post. Because it’s still an ongoing investigation, we can’t reveal any more details.”
The cyber crime team explained, “Whether the statements by the person who misrepresented himself as T-ara’s backdancer are fact or fiction, because the statements could have had made [the group's] image suffer, it’s possible that maliciously spreading the post could be considered defamation of character.”
The truth always reveals itself in the end. Let's hope the rest are finally hunted down by the police!

I actually really like this song. The MV is nothing super special, but he looks good as always.
By Kim Young-Jin
Kim Jung-in (an alias), a public relations officer, knew it would be difficult to raise her one-month-old daughter alone. But determined to try, she ignored family members who pressured her to opt for adoption, just as they had told her to have an abortion.
“I was confident I could get a job and take care of her on my own,” recalled Kim, 36, of the turbulent period four years ago. “But I needed time to find work and persuade my parents I could do that.”
Time and understanding, she would find, were not on her side.
Kim met her boyfriend while working abroad for a Korean firm. They wanted to marry but her family would not give their blessing without meeting the prospective groom first. After they learned she was pregnant, the man convinced her to quit her job, saying he could support her.
But the man’s business fell through, and with scant resources, he convinced Kim to return to Korea unmarried. Despite promises to follow her, he vanished.
She ended up in Busan with her parents, who shunned her for giving birth out of wedlock – a common response in Korean society. “My mother cooked meals for me, but not for my baby,” she recalled. “My father did not accept me as part of the family. I ran out of places to turn to.”

Kim may have been alone, but her story is not uncommon in a country where stigmatization and a lack of social services force many women to choose between abortion and adoption. While single mothers have raised their profile in recent years, groups supporting them say that the government must provide them with a safety net and begin to set straight a painful history.
The issue may be set to go under the spotlight as Korea prepares for its first female president, Park Geun-hye, who has promised to improve conditions for women. Support groups say whether Park pays attention to single mothers will be a bellwether of how thoroughly she plans to follow through on this pledge.
As yet, the President-elect’s team has not made specific policies for single mothers and they are not mentioned in its policy book of over 300 pages.
“Right now, they are included in the policies for single parents,” said an official from the policy committee of Park's Saenuri Party, requesting anonymity. “Once the transition committee is launched, it is possible that the issues of unmarried mothers can be discussed there.”

Our readers have seen snapshots of Korean netizen comments on various issues through koreaBANG, but understandably it may be hard to grasp the nuanced and diverse contexts and dynamics of Korean netizenship. If you are confused and want to acquire insight into Korean cyberspace, this article is a must-read. Recently, Ilbe, known as a ‘conservative’ online community, has garnered much attention with their fervent online support for the now president-elect’s campaign. Ilbe is a ‘base camp’ for many passionate conservative netizens but they don’t just dwell in it. Ilbe users are known to coordinate and make comments on mainstream portal sites such as Nate and Naver with their ‘firepower’ as they call it. Their dislike for the people they label ‘jwajom‘ and strong misogynic comments are especially reknowned. This article written by a seasoned Ilbe netizen explains where Ilbe stands. Ilbe is an abbreviation of ‘Ilgan best’ that means ‘daily best’. While Ilbe is best known for its political nature, the site also has forums for fashion, cooking, sports, computer games, music, movies, etc. This article frequently mentions DC Inside, a Korean internet forum site that was established in 1999 and pioneered the Korean internet meme world.

The composer for ZE:A‘s “Phoenix“, Albi Albertsson, released his demo version for the song.
The vocal guide for the demo version is in English instead of ZE:A’s Korean, and the title ‘V2 Original Demo’ seems to hint that this was the song while in its beginning stages. One of the most noticeable parts of the song is that near the beginning, around the 0:13 mark, the vocal guide seems to say, ‘SHINee. We’re back‘, hinting that the song might have been originally meant for SHINee. In ZE:A’s song, at the same point they instead say, “ZE:A. We’re back“.
looking through the comments, people thought this song suited ZE:A more. What do YOU think omona? ZE:A or Shinee? sound off in the comments below VVVVVVVVVVVV
