Boys are precious. Can't wait to see subbed videos. Question: I know Korea is a pretty much conservative society, especially when it comes to touching/skinship, but with the younger generation are things like holding hands, lying in laps, kissing cheeks, touching (guy's) chest, etc... really that gasp-inducing/scandalous? Or is it just comedic/tv charade/safety measure so female hosts won't get bashed from netizens?

Article: Jo Kyung Ah apologizes for exposure controversy... A look at the netizen response

Netizens put weather caster Jo Kyung Ah on the chopping block for an 'exposure accident' where the buttons on her blouse exposed her skin for a split second.
She apologized for the "controversy" writing (which she's since deleted), "I apologize for not checking what I looked like from the side. As anyone can tell, it's a neat and classic blouse so I didn't think to look it over to prevent such accidents."

1. [+180, -9] The fact that people even spotted this is weirder
2. [+158, -3] The journalist even drew a yellow circle over it ^^;;;;;;;;............ How scary.
3. [+149, -9] Fu*king journalist ba$tard... It's people like you that are running our country's journalism to the ground.

"Doesn't that happen naturally when people with big chests wear blouses? ㅠㅠ What crime did Jo Kyung Ah commit to deserve this."
"Do people think we're living in the 80s or something?"
"We need to stop fu*king around with stupid crap like this and prepare for war."
"The word controversy made it seem like it was something severe so I took a look and are you serious ㅋㅋ That's exposure? Ridiculous ㅋㅋ"

2NE1's CL Dazed Digital (UK) Interview

 photo 1034262_zps0b7b86ae.jpg

Singer and rapper CL is one-fourth of the acclaimed K-Pop girl group 2NE1 and renowned for her stage presence, wardrobe and indomitable leadership. Respected Korean rapper Tasha gives her props, Rihanna follows her on Instagram, she's been hanging out with A$AP. Close friends with Jeremy Scott, who designed their stage clothes for their wildly successful 2012 New Evolution tour, she was seen front-row at his NY AW13 catwalk, she's become his design muse.

2NE1, despite Girls' Generation and Wonder Girls putting effort into cracking the non-Asia market, are arguably the most recognisable of the female idol groups beyond K-Pop's usual stamping grounds; they've held several successful American concerts, worked with, and starred in a US Adidas campaign as well as critically lauded by MTV, BBC, Forbes, CNN, Elle, and Rolling Stone.

Their sound - bass heavy electro pop with nods to hip-hop - is big, bold and brash and the accompanying visuals scorn the aegyo, the cutesy cheek puffing and big anime eyes, that so many girl groups employ. Instead, CL and her band members Minzy, Dara and Bom have adopted the styles associated with their male contemporaries (including their YG label-mates BigBang) of fast cars, studs, spikes and aggressive choreography.

Last year saw only one release from 2NE1, the languid change of pace of 'I Love You' as well as stylistic change of pace but that's only to be expected from the quartet who, since their 2009 debut, continually run circles around even the style conscious K-Pop scene to become style icons in their own right.

Often outspoken and upfront, CL has become a role model to both her fans and other rappers and singers within K-Pop groups such as GLAM and EXO-K while the 2NE1 influence, visual or otherwise, can be seen in groups like Evol, D-Unit and B.A.P.

What Does Kim Jonghyun Do Late at Night When He Can't Sleep?

jjong so foine

SHINee‘s Jonghyun recently revealed how he spends his sleepless nights. On March 26, SHINee’s Jonghyun appeared on the latest episode of MBC’s “SHINee’s Wonderful Day” where the camera followed him as he journeyed through the streets of Japan, trying new foods and sightseeing.

As soon as he got back to his room, he admitted, “I think I’m all tuckered out after going to a lot of places today.”

The star revealed that he struggled with insomnia at times. He explained, “Normally when I’m exhausted, I simply pass out and fall asleep. However, it’s weird how all my sleepiness vanishes the moment I get back to the dormitory.”

He went on, “But thanks to my insomnia, I’ve been able to compose songs and write lyrics. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved music. When I was in middle school, I wanted to grow up to become a music composer. I decided very early on to make music my life. So I joined a band before I was discovered by SM Entertainment and now here I am as a singer.”
