Third installment of “Reply” drama series to occur in 1988

The producer of the popular drama tvN series Reply 1997 and Reply 1994 Shin Won Ho has hinted that a new and third installment is currently being prepared.

According to a staffer, the producer had “worried about which year he was going to base for the drama. There were years like 2002 and 1988 and many more to be used. However, it had been decided that 1988 will be the year for the new series. As for the season premiere,” he continued, “we are currently expecting July 2015.”

In fact, Reply 1994’s art director Seo Myung Hae had previously given hints to the public regarding the new installment during a previous interview.

Talks of Reply 1988 reportedly began last year. At the time, few agencies had met with the staff for casting reasons and other actions were also taken in preparations for the new installment However, for some reason, the making of the drama was stopped.

Shin Won Ho had also mentioned that “many discussions were made, but we have a situation that need us to stop everything. We need to continue to take our time to look carefully at the situation. Reply 1988 is not a certain thing yet. I am reconsidering everything so it may take a long time.”

Mad Clown's #Hashtag Interview + "Fire" Gets an All-Kill!

Mad Clown has become a blockbuster rapper after achieving an all-kill on 10 music charts with “Fire.”

His third mini album, “Piece of Mine” featuring the title song “Fire,” was released on January 9 and has quickly moved up to first place on many music charts including Melon, Mnet, Genie, Soribada, and more. His other songs which include some collaborations with Palo Alto, Joo Young, and others are also doing favorably.

“Fire” was written by Kim Do Hoon and Mad Clown; it features Jin Shil from Mad Soul Child. The catchy rap and sensual singing has contributed in making the song popular. The song sounds like a dialogue between a man who is struggling with a bad girl, but can’t seem to leave her. EXID’s Hani is also receiving attention for her part in the music video.

Featuring a narrative style and catchy hooks in every song, the talented rapper’s songs are leaving a strong impression on listeners. The rapper is being praised for his unique style and diversity amongst his songs. While “Fire” discusses a difficult romantic situation, his other songs tackle societal issues affecting female office workers, people in their twenties, and population control.

While Mad Clown’s song “Fire” continues to rapidly ascend music charts, he will be busy with appearing on music programs.

Bangtan (BTS) release teaser pictures taken in The Holocaust Memorial in Berlin

BTS posted teaser photos on Twitter recently, which is great! But, uh, then people recognized the location as the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin.

So … yeah that’s a bad idea. Like horrible. Pictures is one thing, but a fucking photoshoot, apparently for a photobook? Come on.

Anyway, after being inundated with tweets, BTS’s official Twitter finally took the pics down (which is why I don’t have all of them), but it’s a bit late for that anyway.

I trust I don’t have to explain the problem to oppa apologists here.

A spokesperson of the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe had previously commented on a similar situation:

"We only give permission to projects that have a connection to the memorial, the Holocaust or some aspect of commemoration."

This raised concern amoung fans that BigHit either didn't attempt to get permission or were denied and followed suit anyway.

It's also been noted by some that Rapmon had previously worn a hat that bears Nazi symbols (swastika, eagle, and skull). Specifically, the insignia of the SS, who were responsible for running the concentration camps all over Europe.

BigHit has yet to release an official statement.

I saw this on Saturday and tried to omona search him only to realise we don't really post a lot of the musicals side of k-entertainment unless idols are in it, haha, and my k-google fu is weak so I came up very short. So here's an overseas-musical-activities post!
Other than in reviews, I've seen lots of people on social media talk about his accent, which I agree was a little heavy (but then I always struggle to understand deep&rich singing voices), regardless of that he definitely seems to be slowly growing a UK fanbase which is great! The recordings really don't do him (or any of the cast) justice imo.
He will be stepping down from the role at the end of this week.
