There's not a lot of actual information that has come out yet, leading to rumors going crazy. Some are saying that it's an unhappy sponsor, some are saying its the government trying to cover up the impeachment news. Also, the victims are as of yet unidentified, meaning just about everyone and their brother is now being accused of being in the videos.

Daniel Phillip Henney, an American actor who has made frequent appearance in Korean dramas as well, is to reveal his solitary lifestyle through Korean variety show, I Live Alone.

On Tuesday, December 13, the actor’s agency announced that Daniel Henney will be featured in the upcoming episodes of I Live Alone. Throughout two episodes, I Live Alone will depict the actor’s everyday life as he stays in the U.S. to film the second season of Criminal Minds: Beyond Boarders.

Many are waiting for the episodes on Fridays, December 16 and the following week, as they are expected to cover the actor’s house, pet, as well as his daily schedules, which all hasn’t been unveiled anywhere else.

“Daniel said that he wants to meet Korean fans once again this year after his appearance in Dear My Friends in May,” said the actor’s agency, Eco Global Group. “So he decided to do so at least through I Live Alone.”

Episodes of I Live Alone that feature Daniel Henney will air Fridays, December 16 and December 23 at 11 pm KST.

Seeing his face makes me want to rewatch My Lovely Sam Soon. I haven't watched it in forever, and there was a time when I watched it at least once a year.

Jun Ji-hyun is the only female on "Best Actor" list

Jun Ji-hyun of “The Legend of the Blue Sea” was the only woman who made it on the list of the 10 best actors of 2016, compiled by Gallup Korea.

The research firm, between Nov. 4 and 25, had run a survey targeting 1,700 Korean men and women above the age of 13 to freely answer their pick of this year’s best two movie stars.

Actor Hwang Jung-min of “The Violent Prosecutor (2015),” “The Wailing (2016)” and “Asura: The City of Madness (2016)” topped the results.

Following in order were Song Gang-ho of “The Age of Shadows (2016),” Gong Yoo of “Train to Busan,” Ha Jung-woo of “The Handmaiden” and Yoo Hae-jin of “LUCK-KEY.” Lee Byung-hun of “Magnificent 7,” Lee Jung-jae of “Operation Chromite,” Jung Woo-sung of “Asura: The City of Madness, Jun Ji-hyun of “The Age of Shadows” and Ma Dong-suk of “Train to Busan” rounded up the top ten.

Jun, who came in ninth, was the only female in the list. A local media outlet commented, “Jun is the pride of the Korean actresses in the largely male-dominant field.“

Dazed Presents Their 20 Best K-pop Tracks of The Year

With groups like 2NE1 and Rainbow disbanding and a new generation of artists coming into their own, we look back at another busy year for South Korean music.

As the year comes to a close, there’ll be plenty of shellshocked K-Pop fans, wondering how the hell it got to be such a bumpy ride. Those who follow the artists in the YG Entertainment stable suffered a triple whammy of disappointment: Minzy leaving K-Pop’s fiercest girl group 2NE1, Nam Taehyun quitting the diverse-sounding boy group WINNER, followed by 2NE1 disbanding completely. They weren’t the only casualties of 2016, with long-established female groups Rainbow, KARA and 4Minute also throwing in the towel and the reality-TV-built girl group I.O.I dismantled after the decent “Very Very Very”.

The newer generation groups, however, excelled – particularly JYP Entertainment’s nine-member girl group TWICE, whose “Cheer Up” sold by the bucketload, overcoming a controversial start to the year when Taiwanese member Tzuyu was filmed holding a Republic of China flag during a TV broadcast, angering people from both countries, between whom relations are fraught. Away from the political side of K-Pop, boy group Seventeen kept their momentum growing with the sassy earworm “BOOMBOOM”; male rookies ASTRO, KNK, Pentagon, and SF9 all offered up excellent reasons to keep an eye on them; and BLACKPINK, hands down, stole the show for the girls.

Naturally, you couldn’t move without bumping into a trap beat (a trend unlikely to wane in 2017), and if you didn’t have a table in your music video with all the members sat at it, then you just weren’t playing for keeps. Finally, let the Korean R&B star Crush lighten the mood of competition for the #1 slot with a gif that’ll keep on giving until the new year.

This list is for idol releases, limited to one song per group (or artist), and taking into consideration the whole package, both song and MV (music video). Fire up your lightsticks and dive in.
