This month's marks the 10th anniversary of the group Girls' Generation.
According to the music industry on the 16th, eight members of the Girls' Generation are currently discussing the renewal of their contract with SM, which is scheduled to expire. Many members have renewed their contracts, and the rest of the members are also discussing positively.
A member of an aide said, "Some of the members are still talking to the company." I do not know what variables will be there yet, but I think the members will continue to work as they feel proud that they have been in good condition for 10 years. "
They have a lot of hits such as 'Gee', 'Tell Me Your Wish', 'Oh!' And 'I GOT A BOY'. They have been active as a representative group of K-Pop's Hallyu Wave.
In the first 'YouTube Music Awards' held in 2013, SNSD was the only Asian singer to be awarded 'Music Video of the Year'. So far, 6 music videos on YouTube have exceeded 100 million views. Last month, SNSD was voted number one in the top 10 K-pop girls group by Billboard.
In spite of the disbanding of second generation girl groups such as 2NE1, Wonder Girls, 4Minute, and SISTAR, they announced their lastest 6th full album, "Holiday Night" celebrating their 10th anniversary on the 4th.
UPDATE (by me):
Apparently articles of positive contract renewals are media play by SM to pressure the girls into signing contracts that will disadvantage them. The short promotions and their sudden halt is also being used against them.

Sones are a mess right now, rumors and theories are spreading like wildfire but now at least SM's extra shitty promotions this time around make a bit more sense.
