Yoo Youngjin caught violating license plate usage, SM releases statement

Singer-musician Yoo Youngjin was reported to have been violated the usage of motorcycle license plates last July 18th.

In March, Yoo bought two imported motorcycles. By law, the vehicles were required to undergo environmental testing before being authorized and declared ready to hit the road. Instead of waiting, Yoo affixed license plates from his older motorcycles to the new motorcycles and drove them around Seoul. Yoo was caught after he got into an accident in Cheongdam, southern Seoul, in May. After filing for coverage from his insurance company after the accident, the agency discovered that the license plate on the motorcycle had been switched.

On July 18th, SM Entertainment has said through an official statement,
“Yoo Youngjin deeply apologizes for his foolish and ignorant actions without excuses and is reflecting. He will not try to avoid his responsibilities, but will face them sincerely, and make sure that he does everything he can so this does not happen again. We apologize for worrying many people and we sincerely apologize. After confirming the details with producer Yoo Young Jin, in a situation where the authentication for two of his motorcycles was not yet complete, he violated the law when he used his original motorcycle’s license plate and and got into a minor accident.”

Yoo debuted as a singer in 1993 with the album "Blues in Rhythm" and later went on to work as a musician exclusively for SM Entertainment artists up to this day.

Previews for "Risky Romance"

Upcoming drama “Risky Romance” is about the romantic chaos that occurs when hormone-obsessed endocrinologist Joo In Ah (played by Lee Si Young) picks competitive neurosurgeon Han Seung Joo (Ji Hyun Woo) as her research subject. Additional Reading: KPOP Songwriting, Song Camps, and Producing

in case anyone is looking for more insight and explination about how song camps work for kpop I pulled a bunch of articles and vids.

KPOP song camps work similar to the ones in country and pop music and with the frequency kpop agencies put out music these camps happen all year long and usually within the span of a week a writer can write for multiple agencies, unless contracted specifically to one. KPOP idols who write also particiapte in these camps too by bringing their own songs and work to workshop with other writers - like in the Luna video linked below.

some of these might have been posts of their own but I figured compiling them would be easier than searching back for individual posts.
