Jang Ki Yong In Talks To Star As A Skilled Killer In Upcoming OCN Drama



On December 5, a source in the drama department at OCN reported, “Jang Ki Yong has been cast in the OCN drama ‘Blue Eye’ (working title) which will be airing next February.” Later that day, a source from his agency YG Entertainment stated, “Jang Ki Yong has received the offer for ‘Blue Eye’ and is positively reviewing it.”

“Blue Eye” is about a man who is cast away by the devil, a woman who was raised by the devil, as well as a client who is after them in order to get revenge. The man who is cast away by the devil becomes a killer in order to find his family, while the woman who was raised by the devil is a detective who pursues him for her deceased lover.

This happened before San E and Brand New Music ended their contract together

On December 4, San E uploaded a video titled “SBS’s Misogynist San E Framing …Stop the Witch Hunt” on his personal YouTube channel. (watch the full vid here)

In the video, he stated, “I watched major network [SBS’s news coverage]. They edited [the video] really maliciously. They sidelined the entire situation of that place and edited parts together to frame me as a misogynistic rapper. As a major network everyone watches, they created fake news and reported it just like that.”

Big Hit Entertainment named 'Investment Company of the Year' at the Korea VC Awards 2018

On December 5, the Korean fund of funds operating agency Korea Venture Investment Corp. recognized venture capital (VC) leaders at the Korea VC Awards 2018 in Seoul.

Big Hit received the Investment Company of the Year award for high quality job creation and its great contributions to improving the rate of return on fund of funds (also referred to as multi-manager investments).

Big Hit’s CFO Kwon Yong Sang stated, “Big Hit Entertainment has tried to be an innovative company within the entertainment industry through high standards and consistent improvement,” and went on to thank their investors.

Big Hit Entertainment was started by Bang Shi Hyuk in 2005, and currently houses BTS and Lee Hyun. It was recently announced that the agency will be debuting a new boy group next year.

Kwanghee to be Discharged from Military Today & Come Back to TV Soon



According to his agency Bonboo ENT, Kwanghee will attend the discharge ceremony in the morning of the 7th. At 9 AM, he will be greeting to fans and reporters near the ceremony venue.

Last year, on March 13th, Kwanghee entered the Nonsan Training Camp to receive the 5-week-long military training. After the training, he has been fulfilling his military duty as part of a military band.

On November 5 broadcast of MBC’s “Radio Star,” Chang Kiha appeared as a guest along with Ji Sang-Ryeol, rapper Nucksal, and anchorman Kim Jung-Hyun.

During the episode, Chang Kiha addressed the disbandment of Kiha & the Faces and surprised everyone by revealing that he was the reason behind the break up.

Changsub to enlist in active duty on Jan 14th 2019



On December 6, Cube Entertainment revealed, “BTOB’s Changsub will be enlisting active duty on January 14. As Changsub himself wishes to enlist quietly, we have decided to keep his enlistment location and time private.”

Changsub will be the second member of BTOB to enlist after fellow member Eunkwang announced his enlistment on August 6.

Before he enlists, Changsub will be releasing his first Korean solo mini album “Mark” on December 11 at 6 p.m. KST. It will include five new songs in total, as well as an instrumental version of his title track “Gone.” Changsub took part in writing the lyrics for all the tracks, as well as co-composed three of the songs.

William is having some tummy issues, and after Sam can't help him, they try some acupuncture. Naeun fixes a big breakfast for Gunhoo while their father sleeps. Then they have dinner with his soccer teammates. Naeun is able to converse easily with everyone. And Sian gets a surprise visitor for his birthday.

MONSTA X recently delighted the crowd at the 2018 Boston Jingle Ball by joining The Chainsmokers on stage for an unexpected collaboration!

MONSTA X is currently touring the United States as the only K-pop act in the star-studded lineup for iHeartRadio’s famous year-end Jingle Ball concert tour. During the Boston concert on December 4 local time, the group—who later went on to close the show— made a surprise appearance on stage during The Chainsmokers’ set, joining the American duo for a performance of their hit “Something Just Like This.”

Jellyfish Entertainment’s New Boy Group VERIVERY Announces Upcoming Official Debut



On December 6, Jellyfish Entertainment announced that VERIVERY will be debuting in January 2019. The first boy group to debut under the agency since VIXX, VERIVERY is a seven-member group that boasts a wide variety of skills from composing to choreographing to video editing.

The members of VERIVERY were previously introduced back in September, and the group has already starred in their very own reality show ahead of their debut. They also released “Super Special,” the OST track they helped make for their reality show, and recently held a hi-touch event.

Having demonstrated their talents through the content they have been sharing with fans through social media, VERIVERY may soon captivate a larger number of people as “creative-dols.”

Japanese CD Retailer Tower Records Announces Best-Selling Korean Albums Of 2018


On December 3, Japan’s leading CD retailer Tower Records shared its annual lists of the best-selling albums of the year at its stores!

The lists are separated into genres, and there are three charts for releases by Korean artists. One ranks Japanese albums by Korean artists, another is for imported Korean albums, and another ranks Japanese singles by Korean artists.
