Kangta apologizes and cancels the release of his new song



On August 4, Kangta took to his personal Instagram account to apologize and announcing some important decisions related to his work. His statement reads as follows.

Hello, this is Kangta.

I want to bow my head and apologize for causing deep disappointment and pain to the fans who have loved and supported me for a long time with a personal matter. Also, I want to apologize once again to those who have been hurt by me and those around me, as well as those who were unknowingly brought up during this.

Kang Daniel sets new record of highest 1st week sales for solo artist



According to Hanteo Charts’ statistics, Kang Daniel’s solo debut album “Color On Me” sold 466,701 copies in its first week, setting a new record for most albums sold in the first week for a solo artist. Kang Daniel wowed when he recorded over 400,000 copies sold in the first three days, and he concluded his first week with an even higher statistic of over 466,000 copies.

Not only is this the highest number of albums sold in the first week by a solo artist, it is also the eighth best-selling K-pop idol album in the first week. The only idols to have sold more in their first week than Kang Daniel are BTS and EXO, with Kang Daniel even breaking the record he achieved as a member of Wanna One.

TWICE’s Jihyo And Kang Daniel Reported To Have Met Through Im Seulong



SpoTV News reported that Im Seulong is the idol sunbae that introduced TWICE’s Jihyo and Kang Daniel to each other.

Earlier in the day, it was revealed that Jihyo and Kang Daniel are in a relationship, and both artists’ agencies confirmed the news.

Im Seulong debuted as part of JYP Entertainment’s ballad group 2AM in 2008. Jihyo became a JYP trainee in July 2005, so she and Im Seulong spent two to three years together as trainees. According to several industry sources, Im Seulong is an idol senior that Kang Daniel follows and trusts, which is how he was able to act as a link between the two junior idols.

Tiffany Young is on her way to world diva



There is a stereotype that K-pop idol group members cannot sing properly. However, Tiffany Young, a member of Girl's Generation, breaks that perception. Now it is more apt to call her a "pop singer," ― a singer not only limited to K-pop.

Tiffany Young held her solo concert "OPEN HEARTS EVE" at Yes 24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, Saturday. This was her first solo concert in Seoul in three years, since she moved back to Los Angeles in 2018, starting a new path in the United States with a new agency Transparent.

T-ara’s Hyomin Shares Letter After Longtime Fan Passes Away



T-ara’s Hyomin wrote a heartfelt letter to a longtime fan who passed away.

On August 5, Hyomin shared a photo of a handwritten letter and the screenshot of a post she was tagged in on Instagram along with a photo of herself putting a hat on a male fan.

The post she was tagged in read, “I’m contacting you because I really want your help. Yesterday morning, my friend passed away. I’m contacting you because he was someone who was a T-ara fan from when you debuted until now. Every time your song came out, he asked friends to listen to it, promoted it, attended all fan signing events, fan meetings, and birthday parties, and liked you. T-ara songs are playing right now at the incense altar. Last year at your birthday party, Jimin got your hat so he bragged about it and was really happy. I would be really happy if you could come see Jimin, but since it’s a big request, I hope you’ll reply while cherishing his memory.”

YG Entertainment Explains Details Regarding G-Dragon’s Art Exhibit



BIGBANG’s G-Dragon revealed some of the paintings he drew himself in his first exhibition “Untitled 2017” at the Dopeness Art Lab in Taipei beginning August 1!

On August 5, YG Entertainment shared, “[The pieces in] the exhibit in question are original paintings that G-Dragon painted prior to his enlistment that were printed onto acrylic frames to be commercialized. Merchandise manufacturing company UNWRAPP is cooperating with a business partner from China, and the [paintings] will be exhibited and sold in August in celebration of G-Dragon’s birthday month.”

The exhibition contains a total of seven paintings, including one large piece titled “Untitled 2017” along with six other pieces that make up “Flower Road.” Only 300 copies of “Untitled 2017” were made, and each copy is being sold for $518. Each piece in the “Flower Road” series is sold for $218, and 700 copies of each piece are available for purchase. To control the crowds, only 40 people can enter during each showing.
