Shoo to release a album in Japan

Shoo, a former member of 1990s K-pop girl band S.E.S., will release her first solo album in Japan on Nov 27, ending a year-long hiatus caused by a gambling scandal.

The singer, 37, will release "I Found Love" and do her bit in various promotional activities, media outlet SPOTVNEWS said Monday.

But it remains to be seen whether Shoo will promote her album in Korea, where the public still gives the cold shoulder to the scandal-hit singer.

Minzy Reported To Have Filed An Injunction To Suspend Contract With Her Agency



Former 2NE1 member and current solo artist Minzy has reportedly filed an injunction against her agency, The Music Works Entertainment.

On October 28, the Kukmin Ilbo reported that Minzy had applied for an injunction to suspend her contract with Music Works on September 25. She has also reportedly put in a claim for 50 million won (about $43,000) against the agency.

According to the Kukmin Ilbo, the court interviewed Minzy’s representatives and Music works’ representatives and completed all interrogations on October 18. The results have not been revealed.

Later that same day, another media outlet asked Music Works for a response. A source from the agency stated, “We are currently checking the contents of the report claiming that Gong Minzy requested an injunction to suspend her exclusive contract last month.”

Minzy debuted in 2009 with 2NE1. When the group disbanded in April 2016, she left YG Entertainment and signed an exclusive contract with Music Works to promote as a solo artist.
