The story has become much more interesting for me! Even if birth secrets are common in kdramas (specially sageuks), it always interests me and look forward to how they'd reveal it.

I continue to be impressed! Their acting is getting more and more intense. I really salute Woo Do Hwan and Yang Sejong for being equally great as the other actors in this drama who are mostly veteran sageuk actors.

Terrestrial channels' drama series outnumbers cable TV in viewership

South Korea's major terrestrial broadcasters, such as KBS, MBC and SBS, have been too weak to withstand the onslaught of well-made and eye-catching dramas aired by cable channels, like tvN and JTBC.

They have lost viewers to big-name TV series, like the fantasy romance drama "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" (2017) by tvN and the black comedy "Sky Castle" (2019) by JTBC. Those shows' audience shares both surpassed 20 percent, far outpacing all TV programs in the same time slot.

Such media landscape has continued for years, forcing the major stations to cut unpopular programs and production costs.

Eric Nam talks about first English album, hopes of winning over global fans

Although he doesn’t make as many TV appearances as he used to, Eric Nam’s musical career is in full swing -- more than ever, in fact. Over the past few years, the 30-year-old Korean American singer has made himself known both in the K-pop scene and elsewhere with world tours, genre-bending music and high-profile collaborations with world-renowned acts. But he decided to get more intimate with his global fans with his first English album, “Before We Begin.”

“I’ve always wanted to release an English album, ever since I became a musician. Many people have asked me if I was trying to break into the global market, but I think it’s safe to say that I’m just slowly gearing up for it. And with the global rise of K-pop, as a bilingual artist, I thought it was the right time for me to serve as a bridge between cultures and promote K-pop,” said Nam during a recent interview with The Korea Herald in Seoul.
