Mnet Issues Apology And Promises To Release Plans For Future Of X1 And IZ*ONE Soon



Mnet has issued an apology regarding the vote manipulation controversy surrounding the “Produce 101” series, and has promised to issue a statement on the future of current project groups IZ*ONE and X1.

Sephora Korea responds to backlash

While Korean cosmetics and beauty products have become essential items on the bathroom shelves of beauty lovers around the world, it is still difficult for darker-skinned women living in Korea to find their shade of foundation here. With the arrival of Sephora, darker-skinned women had expected this to change, but have been left disappointed.

Sephora, the world's biggest cosmetics retailer, opened its first store in Korea Oct. 24 at Parnas Mall.

Somi's "Birthday" Sampled in 'Nora from Queens' Trailer

Somi's debut single "Birthday" was sampled in the first trailer for 'Nora from Queens' on Comedy Central.

"Comedy Central is kicking off 2020 with the debut of a brand-new series from Awkwafina, and the network released the first trailer for the show today. Ordered late last year, Nora From Queens is loosely based on Awkwafina’s life and follows her character, Nora Lin, as she “leans on her family as she navigates life and young adulthood in outer-borough NYC.” BD Wong plays Nora’s dad, Orange Is the New Black’s Lori Tan Chinn plays her grandmother, and SNL’s Bowen Yang plays her “more successful cousin.”

In addition to the main cast, the series is jam-packed with guest stars that Comedy Central announced today, including Laverne Cox, Ming-Na Wen, Jaboukie Young-White, Michelle Buteau, Stephanie Hsu, Matt Rogers, Melissa Villaseñor, Simu Liu, Chris Gethard, David Krumholtz, and Natasha Lyonne, who also is credited as a director alongside Broad City alum Lucia Aniello, Jamie Babbit (But I’m a Cheerleader), The Daniels (Swiss Army Man), Steven Tsuchida (Younger), and Anu Valia (The Other Two). Actor/singer Cha In Ha passes away at 27



South Korean pop star and actor Cha In Ha has been found dead at the age of 27, the third young Korean star to die in the space of two months.
Cha, who was a member of the K-pop group Surprise U and also had a fledgling acting career, was found at his home. His South Korean talent agency Fantagio saying it was “filled with grief at this news that is still hard to believe”.
A spokesperson said: “We earnestly ask for rumours not to be spread, and for speculative reports not to be released in order for his family – who are experiencing great sadness due to the sudden news – to be able to send him away peacefully.”
Cha (real name Lee Jae-ho) had recently started an acting career, starring in 2017 short film You, Deep Inside of Me and the TV drama Love With Flaws. Cha’s is the third sudden death of a K-pop star in recent months.
