GG you didn't know existed is disbanding

Roots Entertainment has officially announced that Girls’ Alert will be disbanding.

On April 24, the agency released the following statement:

First, we would like to apologize.
Due to the repercussions of COVID-19 and various other circumstances, our company’s situation has worsened, and it is no longer possible for us to continue leading Girls’ Alert.
Therefore, Roots Entertainment has terminated the contracts of all of the members.
We made this decision out of consideration for the members, so that each of them can freely pursue her own individual activities in the future, and we also want to cheer them on in the hopes that they will make fresh starts elsewhere.
We hope that you will support and cheer on each of the members in the future.
As for the activities that the group was already carrying out before this announcement, we will do our best to pull them off with the members that are available, so we hope that there will be no confusion.

Girls’ Alert made their debut in May 2017 with the song “Dreamgirls.”

Flashback Friday

It is Friday. I had to double check. Anyways, every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. Today we’re going back to the 4th week of April, 2015. Some of the songs have been posted before, so this time we’ll see some comeback stages.

#3 Miss A “Only You”
This was the lead single off of the group’s “Colors” EP. It was their first release since 2013, and would end up being their last release before disbandment. It wasn’t my favorite song from the group, but I thought they all looked so pretty this era. I really liked the styling. The song would debut at the top spot and the album in the top three.

Park Seo Joon Shares Why "Itaewon Class" Was A Turning Point In His Career + How It Changed His Life

-“I wanted to take on a different kind of genre. Although [‘Itaewon Class’] was a drama that had elements of multiple genres, I thought what was most important was Park Sae Roy’s growth as a person.”

-“I wasn’t originally someone who had much interest in societal issues, but Sae Roy was different, while filming this drama, I found myself thinking more about societal issues. [As Park Sae Roy grew and evolved in the drama], I also ended up growing and evolving.”

-“Rather than leading me in a different direction, I think it led me back towards my starting point. It became an opportunity for me to look back on my somewhat brief acting career.”

Seo Kang Joon Talks About Joining New Agency And Why The Decision Was Important To Him

-The actor revealed that he left his longtime agency Fantagio for a new start up agency he created with 3 three other people called Man of Creation (M.O.C).

-“It still feels surreal, but not much has actually changed. What makes being with a new agency meaningful for me is that for the first time, I was able to choose. Ever since I started acting, it was mostly the case where I was being chosen, but this was different. And it’s honestly exciting, to be spending an important part of my life here.”

- “These days, I haven’t really been able to go out much, but when I can, I go to a large bookstore in Seoul. Whenever I go to the bookstore, the first thing I do is to peruse the bestsellers. If there’s nothing I like there, I take my time looking around, and I’ll buy something that has a good recommendation and catches my eye. I generally read a lot of novels.”
