Hara's ex-boyfriend sentenced to one year in prison with no suspension in appeal trial

Choi Jong Bum, the ex-boyfriend of Goo Hara, has been sentenced in his appeal trial and placed under court custody.

In 2018, Goo Hara and Choi Jong Bum got into a physical altercation on September 13 around 1 a.m. Choi Jong Bum initially reported to the police that Goo Hara had assaulted him, but Goo Hara countered with claims that Choi Jong Bum had blackmailed her with a sex tape. Eventually both were forwarded to the prosecution on separate charges, but Goo Hara received a suspension of indictment while Choi Jong Bum’s case went to trial.

In 2019, Choi Jong Bum was charged by prosecutors with violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (filming body parts without consent), assault causing bodily harm, intimidation (blackmail), coercion, and destruction and damage of property. In his first trial last August, he received a prison sentence of one year and six months, suspended for three years of probation, which both he and the prosecution filed an appeal for.

Flashback Friday

Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to see what was on top for the 1st week of July, 2012. This week was iffy for me, I liked a few and disliked a few more lol.

#3 After School “Flashback”
The group spent the first half of 2012 with Japanese promotions, before heading back to Korea to release this song in June. If I’m not mistaken, this was the group’s penultimate Korean release, and personally my last fav from the group. This was also the first comeback without Kahi, and the first one with Kaeun. Here’s their comeback stage on Music Core with the white outfits oh I loved those white outfits so much!

I'm not familiar enough with k-pop to know how far these people go and why they waste their time being nasty to idols, but will this stop them a bit or just encourage them to find new ways to be horrible and anonymous ? Are netizens different from sasaengs ?
