Gong Yoo & Park Bo-gum's "Seo Bok" has a December release

The new sci-fi film "Seo Bok," starring Gong Yoo and Park Bo-gum, is set to hit theaters in December. The film's distributor CJ ENM announced the news Wednesday with teaser posters of the two lead actors.

"We haven't pinpointed on the date exactly, as situations like COVID-19 might affect our schedule," the distributor told The Korea Times. "But we are aiming the premiere date for the beginning of December."

The sci-fi action flick is one of this year's long-awaited films as it is the first time the two heartthrob actors have appeared together. Directed by Lee Yong-ju, known for the award-winning "Architecture 101," the story revolves around terminally ill former intelligence agent Ki-hun (Gong), who encounters genetically mutated human clone Seo Bok (Park), who holds the secret of eternal life.

With many people seeking to obtain that secret, the two are dragged into conflict.

Korea's pop culture machine boosts Netflix's international growth

unnamed.jpg

A zombie drama, a TV series about a supernatural nurse and one about an antisocial children's book author helped turn South Korea into one of Netflix's biggest source of growth in the international markets, a source familiar with the matter said.

Netflix said nearly half of its new paid customers outside of America came from the Asia Pacific region, primarily Japan and South Korea, the company reported in a letter to investors on Tuesday.

The source cited data that could be disclosed later this week when a Netflix representative is expected to appear for South Korea's annual parliamentary audit during which the company's investment is likely to come up. It was not immediately clear exactly what will be discussed at the meeting.

The company is eager to demonstrate its big investments in the region as well as its role in making Korean pop culture popular more accessible outside of Korea.

BTS' Jungkook sold his luxurious apartment, he's still richer than all of us

Jungkook decided to sell his luxurious apartment in the exclusive Seoul Forest Trimage area, one of the most luxurious resorts in Seoul. Bought in 2018 for 1,95 billion won (around 1,7 million of dollars), the property has a great view of the famous Han River.
Despite having his own apartment, Jungkook never lived in that place, he stayed in Bangtan’s dorms during these two years.
He managed to sell his place for more than 2 billion won (around 2,2 million of dollars), a little more than the original price. Unfortunately he did not recoup his earnings, because he had to pay property taxes and other fees.

Omona, when was the last time you bought something and never used it ?
I have two of these things to hold your phone in your car. Never used them because I never put them up because I'm lazy. My phone lives his best life in the cup holder.

Some of them did a really good job! I wonder if this is just one of the songs that most kids learn during the trainee days lol. I can remember 2nd generation idols covering the song all those years ago too.
