melon counts down the ‘Top 100 K-Pop Masterpieces,’ or the 100 best kpop songs of all time!

Earlier this week, Melon started a countdown of the 100 best kpop songs! The 100 songs were picked out of 1,120 picks by a board of 35 critics and/or industry professionals. On Melon's write-up it says the criteria was based on the popularity, creativity, influence, significance, and performances of the songs picked... that includes the virality for the some of the newer songs definitely, too. You can check the yearly breakdown here. Below is a (nearly) full playlist! It's 97 songs, excluding “와 (WA)” by Lee Jung Hyun (entry 22), “U-Go-Girl” by Lee Hyori (entry 41) and “초대 (Invitation)” by Uhm Jung Hwa (entry 67).

U-KISS's Jun helped police apprehend a drunk driver

-Lee Jun Young and his manager found someone who was suspected to be a drunk driver on August 25 at 9:35 p.m. and helped the police arrest them after following them for about an hour.

-
After calling the police, he continued to chase the vehicle until they arrived. He agreed to let the police track his phone and handed over his dashcam footage to help with the investigation

OP note-He's more of an actor now than an idol (which is a shame he's a great all-rounder idol!!) He appears in the new kdrama D.P. (with Jung Hae In) released on netflix yesterday

Have you watched this Omona? What are your thoughts?

D.P. is a heavy watch that deals with themes like bullying, abuse and suicide in the military.
It is not for everyone but I believe it's important to know that those things happen and nothing is being done to prevent them.
I truly enjoyed this drama despite being so angry and horrified at times. The actors are fabulous, the cinematography is top notch and the OST is fantastic too.
My only regret is that it's too short and so we didn't get much background on the main characters though I understand why the director may have preferred to focus on the 'present'.

If you don't know what to watch, D.P. is only 6 episodes and I highly recommend it (if it gets good reception on Netflix, maybe we'll have a second season *fingers crossed*)

Meet Korea's Pat & Mat! ONF's E-Tion and SF9's are Udangtangtang Friends (Clumsy Friends) (season 1)

The past few months ONF's E-tion and SF9's Jaeyoon separately have been going slightly viral on Korean portal sites for their clumsy crafty and cooking vlives. Korean netizens wanted them to meet and be clumsy together, dubbing them Pat (E-tion) and Mat (Jaeyoon): they share clumsiness, their birth year ('94) and their MBTI type (INFP). Idollive brought them together for a 10 episode show that is filled with misplaced confidence, failure and awkward chemistry.
The show was released through the Idollive app over the summer and posted to their youtube channel a few days later.

I loved Pat and Mat as a child so this was a very fun crossover! What would you like to see Pat and Mat challenge next?
