Flashback Friday

Happy Friday! I’ll be spending the weekend picking out my Christmas tree at the lot and then shoving kugel and latkes down my gullet AND I AM SO EXCITED! Finally getting into the holiday spirit! Hope you guys have a good weekend too. Every week I search the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then, I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we’re going back 7 years, to the 3rd week of December, 2010. The top three have already been posted before, so this time we’ll see some live performances.

#3 IU “Good Day”
I really liked everything about this era. Liked the song, the video still makes me laugh, and I really loved all of her styling too. I remember when the first images came out oh my gosh I was sooo in LOVE with those photos.

#2 GD & TOP “High High”
This party jam from the still awesome “GD & TOP Vol 1”. So many great songs, videos, and performances came from this album…so deliciously spoiled this era. They promoted this song on the music shows the most, and the stages were so much fun. This performance includes a little bit of “Intro” in the beginning, but I really like this Mnet stage so here it is. Also, “Intro” is just great.

#1 GD & TOP featuring Park Bom “Oh Yeah”
Oh OP, again?!? Don’t give me that look, I told you all last December too! Let me have this extra song just for me, I’ve been so good the other 51 weeks in the year lol! This has always been my most favorite song on the album, it’s sooo perfect to sing along to in the car! Missing short dress wearing, sky high Louboutin strutting, high ponytailed swinging, eyelashes stacked heavy Park Bom. GD looks tiny here lol. And that last pose gives me all the feels because GDTOPBOM SINCE 2006!

Honorable Mentions

#4 Park Hyo Shin “I Promise You”

This video feels familiar to me. I think I may have seen it before. He’s got a really nice voice, I really like his tone. The video features actor Yoon Shi Yoon with a plot that I don’t really follow. Is she dead? Is she dying? I’m confused. She’s really pretty though. This song was on the charts for quite a while.

#5 John Park “I’m Your Man”
Maybe you’re in the mood for something a little jazzy this Friday, Omona. This was the debut song from American Idol and Superstar K2 contestant John Park. I think I would need to hear this song live. A recording probably doesn’t do it justice.
