Boys Republic has announced that they will be ceasing activities as a group for an indefinite period of time.
On September 12, the group’s staff shared the following post on their fan cafe:
“Firstly, we apologize for conveying unfortunate news to Royal Family [Boys Republic fans] who have been waiting for their comeback for a long time and supporting them.
“After a long period of consideration, the Boys Republic members and the agency agreed that they will be ceasing their activities indefinitely.
“They will therefore be holding a live performance to say a last farewell as a group to Royal Family.
“We ask for Royal Family to show much love until the end.”
The group will be holding “Boys Republic the Last Live ‘The End..and'” on September 30 at 7 p.m. KST at KT&G Sangsangmadang theater in Seoul, and tickets will be free.
Boys Republic made their debut on June 5 of 2013 with “Party Rock,” and the group includes five members: Onejunn, Sunwoo, Sungjun, Minsu, and Suwoong. Some of the members competed on the KBS idol rebooting show “The Unit” this year, and the group celebrated their fifth anniversary in June.
