Cast confirmed for IU's new film

On October 2, Mystic Entertainment announced the lineup of actors, who will be joining the upcoming original short film series featuring IU as the female lead. The agency said, “in the original series, A-list actors like Bae Doona, Park Hae-Soo, and Kim Tae-Hoon will make appearance. They will each appear in 4 different films, directed by 4 different directors.”

Previously on September 11, reports stated that IU and Bae Doo-Na confirmed to appear in a new short film together. The reports did not reveal other details, except for the fact that they would begin the official filming at the end of September.

It turns out that IU has confirmed to appear in four different short films, which will be combined and released in a series. Besides IU and Bae Doo-Na, Park Hae-Soo, who recently gained popularity from tvN drama “Prison Playbook” has also agreed to Join.

Moreover, Kim Tae-Hoon, who is known for his capability of expressing in-depth emotions with his acting, has also confirmed his appearance. Further lineup includes Lee Sung-Wook, Jung Joon-Won, and a rookie actress Shim Dal-Ki.

With this upcoming film project, IU will have her official big screen debut.

While the singer has briefly appeared in several films in the past, she had never taken on a lead role. Because she has already gained recognition from the public for her acting skills, much anticipation arises as to what she can offer to bring to the table this time.

Meanwhile, this upcoming original short film series will feature 4 films directed by 4 different directors. The list includes Im Pil-Sung, Lee Kyung-Mi, Kim Jong-Kwan, and Jeon Go-Woon. While they all get the same main character (IU), they plan to unfold the story in different perspectives.
