“Jangsa-Ri 9.15,” which had gathered the attention of the pubic for casting Hollywood star Megan Fox as its female lead, has revealed its further lineup. The film tells a story about the Battle of Jangsa, which is an actual event that took place on September 15, 1950.
At the time, the United Nations peacekeepers and General MacArthur had orchestrate a demonstration operation to ensure the success of upcoming battle, the Battle of Incheon. During this operation, about 77e student soldiers landed near a location called Jangsa-Ri, which then they successfully blocked a national railroad and consequently blocking the supply route for the North Korean army.
Previously, they had reported that actor Kim Myung-Min would appear as the male lead.
He had taken over the role of Lee Myung-Heum – a task force commander who risks his life to protect the young student soldiers during the battle. On the other hand, Megan Fox had confirmed to play in the role of Margaret Higgins, a war correspondent for the New York Herald Tribune.
Actor Kim In-Kwon has taken over the role of Ryu Tae-Suk. The character is a first-class boss for the army of student soldiers. Even in unexpected situations, he continues to move forward towards his enemies.
SHINee’s Minho has also confirmed his appearance. He will appear as the leader of student soldiers, Choi Sung-Pil. The character reportedly volunteers his participation in the war, and sets an example for the rest with his strong leadership and compassionate heart.
Lastly, actor Kwak Si-Yang confirmed to appear as Park Chan-Nyun. The character is a squadron leader of the army, but no further detail has been revealed.
Meanwhile, film “Jangsa-Ri 9.15” began filming on October 13, aiming for a premiere in 2019.
