I 100% agree with you about Jimin. He seems very very insecure about himself and seems to engage in destructive habits, its very worrying.

JK seemed to be so impervious to everything, I find it really hard to believe that he's that 100% all the time. I agree with you :(

Off topic, but its stuff like this that made it really hard for me to fully enjoy the Love Yourself series - because it really doesn't seem like they even fully love and care for themselves either. Their lives revolve around giving and giving and giving to ARMYs and at some point they will break.

yk, I too worried a lot about the LY series, how much they trully meant/felt it. I believe RM did, the way he spoke at the UN was like he was talking about himself, his insecurities about his looks and his dancing skills, hopefully the mistakes he'd made (see swastika and colorist comments) and it really did seem that he had come to terms with it.

But Jimin is another issue. He too seemed to be very insecure about his looks (weight, height, skin color, whatever) and now all this "I'm cutie, lovely, sexy" self-description is actually sad, considering how short-term that look can be. Also, there's also his love for probably excessive alcohol and, considering his homophobic comments, the difficulty he's def. going to have in fully accepting those (himself could be included) who are not straight.

JK's main insecurity seemed to be not considering himself clever enough, but now that he's transitioned from boy to man, and a very hot man indeed, all this truly extreme gain of popularity can't be easy to handle...

Yesss you 100% hit the nail on the head about that. RM was the only one that actually seemed as if he had made strides with learning about himself and addressing his mistakes and inner narratives. I mean, with the others we don't really see it as much/openly but joon really was the focal point of the LY theme. Jimin worries me a shit ton, and it doesn't help that BH seems to protect the boys a lot from criticism. I feel like the difference with RM is that he openly (from what we, the public, can see at least) seeks correction, whereas Jimin seems to be behind a wall of app filters.

Someone said this in a bts post awhile ago but it definitely feels like there's a wall between them and the public now. Their selling point (for me) used to be that they were so receptive to fan input and comments, but with their exploding popularity it seems like all comments get blocked from reaching them- good, bad, and constructive :( I feel like Jimin (and all of them) would really benefit from a break to go....learn. Learn about themselves, about the world, about people.

I also hope that kookie is given a platform to be a bit more vulnerable. He is such a well rounded talent and while I don't want him to crack and burst, I do want him to have a moment where he can blow off some steam and not feel overburdened.

His fancafe chats could actually be a way for him to blow off some steam (in more ways than one).
I truly, truly hope that none of our worries will turn out to be true. Sadly, I kinda feel that in case things don't work out well the Western media will happily take any chance they can get to highlight all that's wrong with KPop (or non-Western music in general; as if everything is perfect when it comes to Western celebrities..)
