Jennie talks going "SOLO"

I don't know where this video is from (I guess YG recorded it for different media outlets to use), but I stumpled upon it on Youtube It's from The Hollywood Reporter. The interview is completely in english.

She sounds very cute and endearing
But also very rehearsed in a childish way, like she's reciting her poetry

But it's very smart to have her answer interview in english

these are definitely not her own answers. YG's PR team got the questions before and just told her what to say.

and i agree, she seems very... childish. not like a 22 (almost 23) year old woman. which makes it even funnier that YG is pushing the strong & tryhard concept on her.

she's legit reading off a sheet of paper in a lot of this its why she keeps looking down to her left. they couldn't even rent her a teleprompter. :/ like ipads do that shit now. YGE rly doesn't try

The looking left makes it look like she's trying to remember something (to me at least)
But maybe you're right

She sounds and looks like a child, so if she had so much input in the concepts and ideas than girlie needs someone to explain to her how she comes off, unless she digs the Lolita-esque. If she does, then ok.

Secondly, she needs some speech training, because all that head movement was ridiculous and her delivery was so stilted.

But at least her face and eyes looked living.

It's always interesting to hear idols get to speak English for a long period of time instead of some short phrase on a variety show. She sounds much less stilted here.

I know idols have to say that they feel lonely without their members, but it would be nice to hear someone talk about what they love about performing solo.

cute accent but damn....this is awkward as hell. i rly do hope we get to see, soon, jennie being comfortable and open. i get that she's an introvert but she looked insecure even and that's p sad.

im not judging or anything though i just hope she finds confidence. i rly wish her the best
